The difference here is that both fighters hold belt(s) in the same weight class, and the proposed "catchweight" is only ONE pound over 154 (clearly favoring the younger fighter who is used to draining himself to 154). They aren't even trying to meet in the middle, it's an obvious and blatant attempt to gain an advantage.
Catchweights are fine if it's the only way to get a fight made between guys from different divisions, but they have to be willing to meet in the middle. None of this 155 Caneloweight crap.
