Inselparkhalle, Wilhelmsburg, Hamburg - Heavyweight contender Dereck Chisora (23-5, 15KOs) made his promotional debut with Team Sauerland, as he stopped Peter Edos (9-9) in the fifth round of a stay-busy fight. Chisora and career promoter Frank Warren parted ways a few weeks ago.

Chisora has now won three fights in a row since getting stopped by current heavyweight king Tyson Fury a year ago in London.

Who is Derek Chisora? Oh yeah he's that guy that David Haye KO'd in a street fight then again in 5 rounds with multiple knockdowns but that that Big Dumb Goofy Turd "Bowe Fury" Couldnt drop in 22 rounds. No wonder Bowe Fury is ducking Haye

Wow, thats a f#cking horrible opponent for a guy at Chisora's level. That guys last 3 wins came over guys with a combined 1 fight lmfao (two pro debuters & a 1-0 guy). German boxing commission is ****ty. Sauerland isn't exactly a hero for scoping out this sorta guy either doe.

These mismatches happen all the time.

Don't make it not extremely f#cked up. And this one seems worse than usual for a guy of Chisora's ability. Seen people go on & on about Quillin vs that stripper guy or Kovalev vs that pizza delivery guy, myself included...those subpar opponents ain't got **** on this mismatch.

True I just don't think the commission will do anything about it any time soon though it certainly doesn't help when rival promotions seem absolutely against working with others.

                Duva for example.

There are a ton of good fighters out there unaffiliated, certainly better than this guy, that Chisora coulda fought. But no doubt nothing is changing anytime soon til more people give a f#ck about all the mismatches in boxing & more people with the power to alter things care in particular. Then these types of mismatches will start looking more like the 1930's circus fighting level **** they are.

Chisora is a good fighter. He has a style where he has to really work physically, but he is young and could even make another run for the top.

Heres the interesting thing about Chisora and why I like him: While everyone has been preoccupied with not losing fights, Derrick has gained experience fighting everyone. The guy has been in relatively close fights with almost all the top guys except maybe Haye, who sparked him relatively early, and Wilder whom he has not yet fought.

meanwhile he has been in with the vitalie, in a close fight, he really beat Hellinius when hellinius was still sharp, etc. Derrick has experience fighting almost any of the top guys. he has been learning and developing. If he can take those lessons and continue to progress I think we may see a new improved Chisora.
