I have no respect for quillin and was rooting for jacobs so I couldn't be more happy. Not a fan of either guy both get destroyed by GGG if haymon let's the fight happen. But looking back all the dumb comments about money from quillin and the fact he's looked worse and worse each of his last 3 or 4 fights something is wrong with him. Maybe it's the weight the hunger whatever. But his big mouth getting shut is a great day. How does vacating that belt at haymons orders look now? Turned down a career payday too and now his career looks done. Couldn't beat Lee got blasted by jacobs but people thought he could beat GGG? STOP IT. LMAO.

Im disapointed, i hoped it would go a bit longer. Im not sure about the stoppage but i have seen worse stoppages. But the fight was way to short to tell us something new about either fighter. Jacobs was lucky to hurt Quillin that early and then he bumrushed him.
But nice post fight interview from both fighters, they are nice guys.Comment

Even though I'm happy that ducking coward quillin lost it was early stoppage. Ref stunk as bad as Quillin should of scored it a knockdown or let the fight continue until a knockdown came. Quillin was badly hurt and jacobs had too much time in the round and would of dropped him at least 1 or 2 more times before time expired or finished him off. But if a miracle happened and he got through the round he could of recovered we seen it before in many fights for example look at the vargas fight with trinidad. He was more badly hurt that first round and a early stoppage would of robbed fans of an alltime great fight. Not saying that would of happened here but damn ref let it play out. At worse you robbed jacobs of a highlight reel knockout.Last edited by bigdunny1; 12-06-2015, 07:22 AM.Comment

I do not think there should be a rematch. The writing was on the wall folks. You can tell his heart and soul were not in this game, for quite a while.
Could it be a weight making issue? Possibly. Maybe if he moved up to 168, Quillin would find life easier and get motivation back, but as I said before the fight, he looks at boxing as a 9-5 job, and you will fail by thinking like that.
What i do know is, the Quillin we have seen the past couple years, is not the same Quillin we saw a few years ago. He was hungry back then, and was a better fighter.
It all worked out for him financially but boxing wise, his career went to ****. I guess he probably doesn't mind as long as he made the money, however he made it.
I also think he'll check out from the sport very early.Comment

To me this fight proves a few things.
#1 that Jacobs is underrated by so many. I predicted him to win (just not so dramatically). He really is a very solid hungry fighter.
#2 Quillin has faded drastically over the past couple years. He has had no fire. All his talk was business etc. You could feel his head was not in it.
#3 All the Memo's in the world cannot turn it around. I believe Memo was brought in to help Pete make weight. But when you are in your 30's, the struggle to make weight will just leave you more empty.
I was kind of shocked that so many were picking Quillin. Over the past couple years, since Rosado on, he has not seemed right. Jacobs has his weaknesses yes, but you cannot deny his desire to get in there and fight. Quillin was just on borrowed time.Comment

I dont think Peter didnt take a knee cuz he is a warrior or some ****. I think he was hurt so badly, that he just didnt know what the **** is going on. His eyes were glassy, his coordination was gone...
Stoppage wasnt bad, because there was still 1:37 minutes to go and I dont think Quillin could have survived or hurt Jacobs. You cant hurt anybody when your legs are unsteady...Comment
