HBO put their price at picking up Ward's next three fights at going to 175 for fight Kovalev, Ward and his camp looked at it, and they felt confident enough to go forward with the deal.
If you want to try and discredit outside observers seeing a guy who walks around at 180lbs being compelled to fight guys walking around at 200lbs, that's on you.

While Andre Ward admitted to be at least 180+ against Paul Smith. So fighthing in the complete LHW limit he would probably be around 185.
There's no significative weight difference at all.

Floyd "I'm an oppressed multimillionaire in a white mans world, dog eating rice midgets are trying to kill me" Mayweather is siding with Ward over Golovkin??
And this is news?

if thats not forcing a fighter to move up weight classes what exactly is? Ward wanted to stay at 168 and was willing to fight anybody but hbo would not let him whats ward going to do fight on BET? Give me a breakLast edited by Cinci Champ; 12-06-2015, 12:02 PM.

HBO wanted him to move to 175 not just to fight krusher but because they knew if he stayed at 168 they would not be able to protect their investment in ggg from him.

Why did he fight at 172 his last fight? There are sources saying he cant make 168 anymore.

I think Mayweather is saying there's more of a push to get Ward to move up a division to face a perceived threat than there is for GGG to move up and face a perceived threat. In that sense, he is actually correct. The other side of it is that there's really nobody at 160 people want to see GGG fight and nobody at 168 that people want to see Ward fight.
