Boxing Referee Pay (biggest fight in UFC history $1900)

Considering that the biggest PPV in UFC history is coming up next weekend, and the veteran ref of 22 years is only getting $1,900 (http://www.mmamania.com/2015/12/4/98...r-ufc-194-main),
and in the article they state that Kenny Bayless received $25,000 for May/Pac (which is peanuts considering how vital his role is, and how much $ there was to go around).
No wonder refs are so susceptible to corruption. I guess I'm naive, but always thought these dudes were well paid.

How much should refs get paid? $25,000 & $1,900 seems like huge one night scores for those guys doing what they do.

Plus I feel like judges got WAY bigger corruption issues than refs. Refs usually are on the up & up. And the judges tend to fly under the radar more than a guy who's on camera as much as the fighters are during the fight so they can score disturbingly bad & remain fairly anon.

It's peanuts comparatively but these refs do way more than work fights, they have other roles at the casinos, their day jobs if you will. UFC pays **** doe....

That's per fight. I'm pretty sure they do multiple fights a card and multiple fights a week.

plus I think being a ref isn't their full time job most the time like judging.

Refs dont get paid much ...i used to work with Arthur Mercante jr in ,N.Y in the union and he said they generally make under 1000 depending on the fight.... i dont recall what he told me he made on Lewis vs Holyfield but it was around the 1500 mark!

Referee 3 fights per month and you're already making above most household income
