ive seen them both fight, and in their matchups, ali proved he was faster. he was ripping combinations on patterson. ali's 1-2 was something behold.

thats what im going by. your taking an in there prime fighter and an out of prime fighter and tryin to compare there handspeeds like that. and ask ne 1 that doesnt make ne sense u cant compare 2 different ppls handspeeds at the times they fought in there career,its jus non-sense.

The fact is both fighters where fast, and no one ****ing knows who the fastest is accept maybe the fastest, and thats if he acknowledges it, Ali acknowledges that his the greatest, and maybe that no one can katch his speed but thats it, Patterson, well ive never seen an interview or heard of one which he states his claim, this ****ing thread was an OPINION POST, and you motha****as went and mad it personal... If i had to choose a fighter id choose TYSON simple because he had the quickest bob leaft weave right throw a RIGHT HOOK that ive seen and im sure anyone else has seen on a constant base! Im also sure that if he came perpared,focused and vicious like he did his first 37 fights he woulda KOed both ALI and PATTERSON but along the way to GLORY a lot of us lose or motivation!

I said that the patterson that fought Ali was in good form. Proof of this is that he continuted to fight for 7 more years after this defeat. I never said that the patterson fight is the only reason Ali is faster, but it certianly helps the argument.
