OK, you understand Gggs situation has changed a lot: he's mando for the biggest prize in boxing, Canelo for 3 MW belts + lineal? He's still willing to go up as a one off for a big fight like Froch, but all that takes back seat to Canelo

First of all, nobody cares what Fraud Pedcheater Jr the woman beater thinks or is impressed by. Secondly, GGG can't beat a fighter that is afraid to even get in the ring with him. So glad coWard is a boring non-charismatic fight ducking media creation non-entity....I couldnt stand another era led by another gutless Turd.

If Ward wanted to, he could chill, let Golovkin figure out the Canelo situation since obviously that's what he and K2 having been working on since taking the Rubio fight. Its not like Ward was in the middle of any of this during that time, Ward just now came back to the sport. Now, if Ward is wants to go to 175 and if Kovalev is who he eventually wants, that's fine it's his choice his career, but let's not act like Golovkin hasn't been working towards getting big fights himself and is currently in a position to finally get that. Ward wasn't around for a long time, the world doesn't stop for Andre Ward when he fights a tune up so not sure why fans on NSB act like none of this is a reality and Golovkin and Ward van fight tomorrow night.

This I agree with, I can understand GGG waiting to see what happens with Canelo, ward IMHO has moved on, HBO have moved him on because he IS a threat to GGG. We can all be fans and still be objective. We know GGG needs a big name, we know his team have talked a lot and this is the same thing I was pointing out 2/3 years ago.

I don't want to see GGG feasting on low level competition at 160 anymore period, it does nothing for him in the short or longer run, if he gets Canelo in the next two fights then all power to him.

Check my last post. In regards to Canelo yes I agree with you. I have zero problem with him enhancing his name by fighting Canelo, as for him fighting Froch I do have a problem with that.

I don't see why. They were trying to make the Froch fight while he was #1 active SMW, and if he came back he's probably still the best guy there.

It would just look bad period! Yes it would make him a lot of money but Froch at this stage is no threat at all.

marquez sais 144 for floyd bc he wanted to be great
cotto said 145 for pac bc he wanted to be great
porter said 144 for broner bc he wanted to be great
floyd said 154 for dlh bc he wanted to be great
idk who asked but 152 for a good fight for floyd and canelo

all these guys talked it and walked win lose or draw

ggg has only talked it by saying 154-168...now he's hiding behind hastags like "allthebelts"...
First Porter doesn't belong in that group and fighting Broner doesn't make him great. Just stop it.

Second, all of those fights by the other guys were for big money. Ward is a boring half retired fighter who doesn't draw. Why would GGG take a high risk fight if he's not getting paid? He's not dumb.

Agree it was a better fight last year, when Ggg was pursuing that fight, and Froch was #1 at SMW. Froch keeps bringing it up from retirement though, and you gotta figure he's still top 2 at SMW at worst

porter could have easily lost that fight if he did not come in shape..he could have easily lost to a guy u say is not great and it would have looked horrible on him..instead he stayed ready so he didnt have to get ready and went on to win the fight and garner more respect

2nd of all i was not talkin about ward..i said he should go to 155 to beat canelo and yes he can do it..and i think he will do it..it is a great fight and canelo is the new ppv king since floyd is gone and manny's numbers are dropping

I guess that implies if Golovkin moves up in weight to 168 or 172-175 (where Ward seems set on fighting at 175 now) and were to lose a decision, he's no good? He's not impressive and was exposed? Is Ward some gatekeeper here or isn't he considered one of the best fighters over the past 10 years or whatever? If a good fighter loses to another good fighter that doesn't mean they suck. Same type of weird mentality when someone loses to Floyd Mayweather and suddenly they were exposed and over hyped, as if that's the benchmark to being good or not. Strange logic.
I feel this is what holding boxing back today , a lose is a big stepback in our era it doesnt matter against whom you got it , this leads to less "mega" fights as both fighters know that a loss sets them back more then a win propels them forward. shame..... so we get the big fights ONLY if the money is really big and they just cant pass that up , but even a really good payday for a hard fight is being overlooked due to the risk of a L.
