If he fights anyone else at 160, it'll look bad.

If he gets stripped or drops the 160 belt, it'll look bad.

If he fights another catchweight fight vs. another 154 fighter, it'll look bad.

        Only one solution.

        Fight Pacquiao at 155 Catchweight.

You can't blame him for the catchweight. It's for Pac. Pac is small.

You can't blame him for not fighting Golovkin. Pac is a bigger star, it's a bigger fight, it's more money.

WBC can then strip him of the belt and Golovkin gets his belt.

Canelo saves face and makes more money.
Great analysis. He needs to fight PAC at a catch weight. Big money fight!
PAC might win, or get stopped.

Grow some stones and fight GGG. If you lose, accept your loss. If you win, then you just disposed of "the most feared man in boxing."

Even if he fights Pac, he's fighting an old small man whose 3-3 in his last six fights and hasn't had a knockout in 7 years. But he's a big enough star right now and young enough to the point where he can afford to do a variety of different things.
Canelo's fans would be the only ones complaining if he fought GGG at 160 is my guess

To be fair he fought Lara, a high-risk/low-reward opponent if there ever was one.

I guess the danger with Golovkin is not so much with him beating you, but with him demolishing you and knocking you out. How you lose matters a lot in boxing and always has.

I don't want to see Pacquiao fighting a guy 25 pounds heavier on fight night.

We don't need any more ATGs (like Roy) getting killed in the ring. Let the man take his easy fight and retire peacefully.
