Froch had his chance before he retired. He kept saying that he would only come back for Golovkin or DeGale. It was hot air.

Now he actually IS retired - he says he is too big and too strong for Golovkin and that he would smash DeGale - more hot air stinking out the boxing universe.

Before you defended him saying he was only responding to questions being asked. That is patently not true. He has a bigger ego than Cotto and Pacquaio combined and yet achieved only a quarter of what they achieved.

Froch is one of the last G's in the sports we had/have, he can say whatever the fuck he wants.

He can say whatever he wants to say and he DOES say whatever he wants to say.

Nobody is stopping his crass ass making ****** comments, not even his lovely Rachel (come on! how crass is it to boast how beautiful your wife is?) .

None of that means he shouldn't get roundly criticized for his egocentric ******ity.

I love Froch, i love the stuff he says. He ain't coming back though. The other month he was saying he may come back for DeGale. Then Golovkin. If buzz talk of that fight dies, he will talk up a fight with someone else.

I'm not knocking him for it, he just likes to keep himself relevant.

Many times its dubious when fighters "keep themselves relevant" when they are still active fighters - as in "Let's go champ!"

But when you continually repeat that you are happily retired then there is no reason to say "relevant" - it is all about ego. What he is all about is projecting his legacy by winning imaginary fights in his own head, bullying Golovkin and smashing DeGale, and then convincing the media he is right - rather than coming out of retirement and proving it.

I would love for Golovkin to get some singing lessons and then prior to a Canelo fight dedicating a song to Froch - "You're so vain - I bet you think this fight is about you". Never would happen - pity!

I don't think Froch was being serious about coming back. He would not start tossing around 172 lbs without even attempting it first. It was more like "lets throw a wrench in the gears before we start moving".
