Who cares about rankings? All we need is therealpugilist, his genius is unmatched. He said that Golvokin would duck Lemieux and that if they ever fought Golovkin would likely get KO'd. Those are his words, not mine. That's high praise coming from the legendary therealpugilist, but unfortunately he tries to pretend like the therealDementiapugilistica and "forgets" he ever said that and downgraded Lemieux to "bum status" after Golovkin knocked him out.

I haven't really been following the "Golovkin opponent saga," for lack of a better phrase (I'm just not interested enough). Can Gennady face Lara? Lara's a slick credible guy and people would probably give Golovkin credit for beating him. Is this fight feasible?

Also, what about Andy Lee? He just lost his last fight but it wasn't like he was dominated and knocked out

Loeffler has openly stated that Lara's team have never contacted them, but are free to. So in summary Lara's uses Golovkin's name, but hasn't tried to make the fight and instead fights retired welter-weights.

Can anyone give me a good answer to why people insist on claiming GGG is ducking Lara? If we are going to ignore the Haymon/PBC vs. HBO reasons (which is the real reason for the fight not going to happen until something major changes) and pretend GGG can fight whoever he wants, we don't we cry for Jacobs? He's an actual 160lber, has a belt, and would be a far bigger threat to beat GGG than Lara.
