So the IBF is delaying another title shot for the mandatory challenger? They follow all their rules doe. "Golovkin is trying to unify doe" What happens if Golovkin fights Canelo and he wins, does the IBF challenger get his shot then? Or will he have to wait and see if the winner of Lee-Saunders wants to fight GGG? Sticky situation indeed.

I thought Golovkin's mandatory was due in February, shouldn't they be coming to an agreement by now?

And from what I hear, Wilder-Glaskov is no longer in play, as Duva prefers putting Glazkov in against Martin, probably hoping Haymon overpays at the purse bid. If I were her, I'd have taken the shot vs. Wilder......

Bottom line is that Fury was WBO mando and didnt need to agree to the rematch clause. But he did, so he has to live with the result of that decision.....
Kind of like making Golovkin the #1 contender to the WBC while still fighting for other titles? Sure, you have no problem when the WBC breaks their own rules as long as it suits your boyfriend Golovkin

Golovkin only became the #1 contender because Cotto wouldnt fight Rubio, so Rubio fought GGG instead and GGG won the WBC Interim title. That was a WBC decision though, so what does any of that have to do with the IBF??

But as for the IBF mando, if GGG doesnt fight Canelo or Lee-Saunders winner, then he has to fight Johnson. I thought I was pretty clear that a unification can trump a mando in IBF rules, but in case I wasnt.......

In the IBF, a unification bout can take precedence over a mandatory defense.

I know and I asked you, if he just keeps unifying will the contender never get his shot? Golovkin can just do as he pleases? As long as he keeps fighting unification fights?

The WBC has bent over backwards for GGG lol they would never have him as a mandatory while holding other belts. Unification is another story, but making him mandatory while Golovkin won't even fight his mandatory for other belts is funny to me. Why isn't there a WBA mandatory or and IBO mandatory?

well considering there are only 2 unification fights left, Johnson wouldnt have to wait very long.

As for the WBA, there is no mando there because the worthless WBA made GGG a "super" champ, so mando is only every 18 months. But the WBA is full of **** and never strips HBO/Showtime/PPV fighters anyways, so what they do is irrelevant. I dont know why they are even still recognized. They are garbage.

And as for the IBO, im not aware of them ever stripping anyone in the history of the organization. I think that for the divisions they have a champion in, they are so relieved that someone would actually give them some money, that they couldnt care less about anything other than cashing the check before the fighter changes his mind lol

So you agree all the organizations are full of ****. So I don't want to hear you cry when team Golovkin accepts for a double header next year lol

LOL @ the Johnson situation "he wouldn't have to wait that long." He's been waiting already for at least a few months.

I just boxrec'd Johnson and he is also the WBA "international champion" since January. But he's not getting that WBA shot and now he's the IBF mandatory. Why isn't GGG put in a position where he will get stripped if he doesn't fight his mandatory?

What promoter tells the fans his fighter ISNT EVEN A MAN YET. Come on, those boys are shook.

They've been decimated, and now the public is clamoring for the golden goose to face the big axe.

Canelo may be laughing in that pick, but once he wakes up from GGG's bowling ball fist, and the world stops spinning, it will all dawn on him.

                  A-side didn't mean **** when you've been a "good boy."

Hey, not to fret, Canelo will likely be able to come back from being a "good boy."

Good boy Canelo looks better than I fight WW, but I'm a 175-180 pound MW version of Canelo.

Canelo is just laughing at GGG's, Can collecting, food stamp using, DOG SHT resume in that pic.

Canelo Strength of Schedule #1 (3 Future 1st ballot Hofamers on his record)

GGG Strength of Schedule #256 (ZERO Hofamers or Future on his record)

You would THINK GGG was the 25 year old...

I do NOT agree that all the organizations are full of ****. The IBF is very consistent when it comes to following the rules, and as for the WBC,it seems that since Don Jose croaked, Mauricio is at least making an effort to be more ethical. Who knows though if that will last.

The WBA is a joke. They rarely, if ever, enforce mandatories. Im not sure why you get the idea that I would defend that? And besides, an "International" champ in the WBA would not be GGGs mando, they would be Daniel Jacobs mando, if they were mando at all.

And I'm beginning to wonder if English is indeed your 1st language? You asked why GGG doesnt get stripped?? I will try this ONE more time.

GGG has a mandatory challenger in the IBF, and that is Tureano Johnson. GGG can delay that mando by fighting a unification with either Canelo or Lee-Saunders winner. If ultimately he does not fight either Canelo, Lee-Saunders winner, or Johnson, then the IBF will strip him.

If thats not clear enough, then I dont know what to tell you.....
