But the heavyweight division is 1 belt away from having an undisputed champion and they want to take Fury's belt? Lmao Also look at the IBF with Froch
IBF rules permit a unification to take precedence over a mandatory. Fury-Klitschko II is not a unification.

But they're trying to make the Wilder fight obviously lol stop denying they're full of ****. Is it better to give the title up and let some two obscure fighters fight for a vacant title or try and make an undisputed heavyweight champ? Was Lemule vs Ndam a unification?

Mauricio is stuck between a rock and a hard place. He does not want to strip Canelo, but he also knows he made specific promises to GGG's team, and GGG's team got burned of $800,000 by Cotto so they are going to play hardball and possibly launch a lawsuit if they do not get their way.

He is probably hoping GGG's team submits or says F-you and drops the interim belt. That would make Mauricio very happy at this point LOL.

Listen, I wish there was a way that they could do Wlider-Glazkov for the vacant IBF title. But its not permissible in their rules, and the IBF doesnt just make **** up to suit their wallets. You have to go all the way back to Judah-Baldomir to find a good example of the IBF ignoring the rules. So love it or hate it, they are consistent.

And from what I hear, Wilder-Glaskov is no longer in play, as Duva prefers putting Glazkov in against Martin, probably hoping Haymon overpays at the purse bid. If I were her, I'd have taken the shot vs. Wilder......

Bottom line is that Fury was WBO mando and didnt need to agree to the rematch clause. But he did, so he has to live with the result of that decision.....

Fair enough, but why doesn't Golovkin need to fight his mandatory yet? How long have they been waiting? I know it was since Lem vs Ndam, so the mandatory has been waiting 6 months for his shot? Shouldn't Golovkin have been mandated to fight the #1 IBF contender after his fight with Lemule? Is the mandatory challenger taking step aside fees?

Yes, GGG will have to deal with Tureano Johnson, the IBF mandatory challenger. He would be able to delay it for either Canelo or Lee-Saunders winner (unifications), but then he has to give Johnson the shot......
