Well if you are a top guy who is looking to get a title the easiest way possible, fighting for a vacant title againt a fringe top 10 alphabet contender is the best way possible. Getting a title will make him more marketable and give him better earnings in future fights against other titlist, rather than just going in barehanded vs Wilder or whoever. I almost threw up while typing that, but it is the sad reality of pro boxing. Duck a champion to go become a paper champion.

As much as I like the guy, Saul Alvarez being a lineal middleweight champion just doesn't sit right with me.

This Glazkov chump is going to pick up a heavyweight world championship belt despite never having beat Klitschko or Furey.

Political Maneuvering...
Duva, and her team, read the rules of the IBF and beat Fury's team to the punch by immediately asking for a purse bid. Don't blame the IBF for following their rules. Fury's team should have known the intricacies of the IBF's regulations.
Duva will either get step-aside money for Glazkov or a vacant title fight between him and Martin/Cunningham.
Do we like the maneuvering as fans, no. But Duva's job is to get Glazkov the most $ and a title. Personally, I'd like to see Glazkov get step-aside $ now this has taken place so the 3 titles can stay unified.

Could Charles Martin withdraw from the Brezale bout and directly fight Glazkov?
