I thought Bread made a good observation. It doesn't always hold true but in general Mexicans do have trouble against black fighters and black fighters do have trouble against Eastern Euros.

Dude I just listed examples of the opposite where Mexicans have an easy time against black fighters and black fighters doing well against Eastern Euros so it's a bad observation.

Further on, like I said earlier in this thread you can't really classify a fighter with a Mexican style just cause he fights from a certain region. I mean does JMM fight like a Mexican fighter? Does Canelo fight like a Mexican fighter? Did Morales and Barrera fight like Mexican fighters. Does GGG fight like an Eastern European fighter? Does Pirog fight like an Eastern European fighter? Does Yuneski Gonzales who kicked Jean Pascal's ass fight like a Cuban fighter? Does Shawn Porter fight like a black fighter (you see Idon't even know what it means) because black fighters could fight like Glen Johnson, Roy Jones, Thurman, Porter, Dawson, Ward and they all fight different so how is that a black style. Ward fights more like Eastern European fighter if you want to go in that direction than a black fighter.

I mean like who came up how fighters fight and what their style is based on regionality? Maybe 40 50 years ago but now? It's a mess of a point to make especially when you base it on a few examples and I tripple your examples aginst your favour off the top of my head mind you.

RACE IS NOT A SCIENTIFIC TERM

Race Is Not A Scientific Term

Recent findings of the Human Genome Project conclude that 99.9 percent of our basic genetic material is the same for all of us, regardless of so-called "race" differences.

Indeed, most evolutionary biologists now agree that the first group of modern humans (**** sapiens) that began to migrate out of Africa about 100,000 years ago, were members of a single, interbreeding group that had already acquired almost all of the genetic variation that we see in humans today.

Nevertheless, we are burdened still with the erroneous heritage of scientists and intellectuals from the 18th Century who divided human beings into "races" and then pronounced that skin color determined each person's status and potential.

Caucasians (Europeans with white skin) were said to be superior in every way, and Negroids (Africans with dark or black skin) were said to be correspondingly inferior in every way.

Moreover, it was even believed that people of African descent comprised a sub-species; they were not really human like those with white, brown or yellow skin.

This hierarchical racial construct, one that claimed scientific justification but that was grounded entirely in pseudo-science, was created and perpetuated for a number of social, economic and political reasons - but it was used especially to justify slavery. Unfortunately, the construct and its presumptions did not receive serious scrutiny by any significant segment of the scientific community until the mid-20th Century.

"Race" is not a scientific term and "races" do not scientifically exist. When ERASE Racism uses the terms racism and race, it does so knowing that "race" is a social construct. And yet, make no mistake about it, a socially constructed concept can have very real and tangible consequences for all of us. Wishing or pretending that the United States is a "color-blind" society fails to address the real disparities that have resulted from this pseudo-scientific concept, disparities that are perpetuated by institutional racism.
