I believe David Haye is a better fighter than Tyson Fury, I think a lot of people would agree with that. Is he a better heavyweight though?? I don't think so.

I always believed the same in regards to Haye and Klitschko, the size difference was insurmountable for a fighter that fights off the back foot himself. He is a back foot athletic counter puncher who fights at long distance. I think he only ever had a punchers chance against Wlad, but Wlad fought a perfect fight that night, and didn't give Haye any looks. He kept at a distance and took very few risks. Haye got a lot of stick at the time, but you can't change a fighters natural style in the middle of a fight, people thought he would fight an aggressive fight and get inside, why??? They obviously knew absolutely nothing about both fighters.

Wladimir landed a handful of meaningful punches in that fight himself, everyone wanted to blame Haye for the boring fight, probably based on all his talking. But if you analyse things on just boxing, both guys were wary of each other, Wladimir was definitely scared of the speed and power. In the end neither guy delivered what they said they would.

In terms of Fury - I think everything has been said already. I knew this would happen to Wlad as soon as he was in with a fighter his size with good ability, someone who could touch him and get out rather than the other way around. He wasn't able to adjust, it has very little to do with age, Wlad just can't do anything in the trenches, he has no clue what to do when someone invades his space, he only knows to grab. So when it came time to push the fight he couldn't do much because the fighters often got close to each other and Wlad couldn't' take advantage of that, all he could do was what he has been doing for most of his career which was clinch. He needed to be able to in-fight because in those situations when you are chasing you can't keep the fighter exactly at the range you feel comfortable, he literally has no clue on the inside, the couple of times he did try and punch in the 11th Fury clipped him twice with left hooks and clearly stung him.

Wlad has always been limited in his style, he is a great champion but for me you can't compare him to the best of the best heavyweights because of the limitations to his style. Can you imagine him in a battle like Lewis-Vitali? Two heavyweights who in my opinion are far superior to Tyson Fury, and who both possess the size to get to Wlad's chin. I think a punchers chance aside, he would have got massacred.

Klitschko threw less than the punches against Fury than he did against Haye.

I have been on record forever claiming that Haye always did much better against Wladimir than he was generally given credit for. Some of the closer rounds can arguably be given to Haye also.

Haye definitely lost that fight, similarly to how Wladimir definitely lost to Fury.

Except both fights were far closer to EVEN than they were to beat downs.

I mean you cannot claim that guys landing only around 80 punches over a full 12 rounds on somebody "taking them to school".

David Haye and Tyson Fury both are 2 of the best opponents Wladimir ever faced that's the truth.
Well, here you have some guys saying how mayweather schooled manny. Its the same situation, low output, the more accurate won.

His head movement is shocking. He is almost never in position to counter or even stay balanced when he is flinging his head from back to front and side to side like a mong.

That's because Fury was bigger but just as fast as Wladimir so Wladimir couldn't excessively clinch and tire him out. Wlad's output was much higher against Haye because he was fighting a much smaller man.
