Duva is gonna have to step down soon or main events is gonna crash..... Why wouldn't they fight wilder, be the WBC champ & then fight winner of fury/wlad II???

its just ******... So imo.. I hope wilder wins jan and intents on fighting for a unification fight with fury..... and watch everyone else cry in the mean time while everything gets halted in the heavyweight division with this unification fight.

Wut? How is this punishing haymon. She just wants to free belt. He wouldn't beat wilder wlad or fury. Hence not even negotiating with fury and making a purse bid when he's most likely rematching wlad

If this was a Haymon fighter those defend this would be blaming the "Haymon effect"...just have to point that out.

He made a business decision. I'm not criticizing him. But he did have a choice. Don't allow yourself to be manipulated.
He wasn't manipulated, like you said he knew the deal. He wouldn't have got the chance to fight Wlad if he didn't agree to a rematch, he wasn't a mandatory. At the end of the day the IBF had a mandatory positioned for Wlad. Not really a fan of multiple belts.

I don't blame the IBF because they are just following their rules. I'm sure they would like for the belt to stay in Fury's possession. My point is that the way Main Events went about it was bull****. They expedited the purse bid without negotiating. By doing that Fury can't ask for an exemption. If Glaskov was idle or had a non-title fight coming up I could rationalize it. But he had a fight with Wilder being negotiated and it would've been a title fight. He would've made more money fighting Wilder for the WBC than fighting Martin for the IBF title. And if the negotiations with Wilder fell thru they still would've had the 30 day negotiation period to use as leverage or come to a step aside agreement. The IBF allowed a step aside for Haye/Klitschko. Fury won't even get that option because the filed for the expedited purse bid.

He was half right, there were options wanted but it was DiBella, the promoter of the fight. I don't know why people think Haymon does everything.

Duva said she was nearly done with a deal for Glazkov to fight Wilder on Showtime at the Barclays Center. She said that she and promoter Lou DiBella, who will be promoting Wilder's next fight, had agreed on everything weeks ago with the exception of the options DiBella was asking for on Glazkov's future fights.

Options would entitle DiBella to be financially involved in a certain number of Glazkov fights at an agreed-upon percentage of the revenue in the event he defeated Wilder. In non-mandatory title fights, which is what Wilder-Glazkov would be, it is standard for promoters to get multiple options on challengers they don't promote...."The offer that I finally received from Lou (Wednesday) night was definitely an improvement over his previous proposals," Duva said. "But Lou still required that we give him two options on Glazkov. At this point, we have endured two months of foot dragging and deal changing from the other side. Now, with the fight only six weeks away, Lou suddenly comes up with a deal that I would have gladly signed two weeks ago.
But DiBella called her out on her lies.

"I won't lower myself to her level. I sent her a completely reasonable proposal and she took a week to respond," DiBella said. "I think she was waiting to see what happened in Klitschko-Fury. But there is no promoter in boxing that doesn't require options in an optional title defense. Options are standard.

"She's being dishonest, but that is not shocking. I sent her something 10 days ago that was industry standard and she responded with something that would not be acceptable to anyone in boxing. She sat on the paperwork awaiting the result of Klitschko-Fury. I'm not criticizing her for that, but tell the truth. Kathy simply could have said the truth: 'We elected to go in another direction.' No one would have faulted her for that. Instead, she chooses to take the low ground again."
