Main Events forcibly strips Fury of IBF title

Main Events refused to negotiate with Fury and called for an expideted purse bid for Glazkof vs Fury. Team Fury has said they'll vacate the belt and fight a rematch with Wlad. Glazkof was in negotiations to fight Wilder for his WBC belt. For some reason Main Events choose to exercise the purse bid option with the IBF to fight Fury. Main Events knew Fury would drop the belt and opt for the Wlad fight. So instead of fighting Wilder for the WBC they decide to strip Fury and fight Martin for the IBF. Now Wilder is scrambling for an opponent. His next opponent will of course be less than stellar because of the monkey wrench Main Events threw in the plans. But people will still claim Wilder is ducking and fighting lesser competition. Just like they claim Wilder is ducking Povetkin when it's the other way around

Last I read Haymon wanted options on Glazkov.

Main Events did the right thing, either a lineal title shot with no options against Fury or a fight for a vacant world HW title.

Povetkin said in an article on boxingscene that he wanted the Wilder fight implying the delay was not on them:

WBC/TBRB #1 rated heavyweight Alexander Povetkin (29-1, 21 KOs) faces WBC #13 Polish battler Mariusz Wach (31-1, 17 KOs) on November 4 in Kazan, Russia, but there’s another boxer that he wished to fight on the same date instead of Wach. Povetkin is the mandatory challenger to WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, who returns on September 26th against French contender Johann Duhaupas.

WBC guy covering his ass putting it on a Russian who will never read his words, while no doubt working some deal with Wilder's pseudo-promoter.

She didn't even bother to negotiate a step a side fee what a cnnt. It's funny when beterbiev was allegedly said to be wanting to force a purse bid for kovs title everyone got mad but when duva the dyke pulls this **** she's the greatest promoter in the world

What a ****ing hypocrite Duva is. I hope the belt goes vacant and Glazkov loses the fight.

When Wilder won the title Saluiman was hugging Wilder like he was his own son and was centimeters away from kissing him.
Theres also a video of him basically saying that Wilder is not ducking.
What are you his significant other or something?
I don't think random sanctioning body guys are supposed to be playing cheerleader like if he were his manager or promoter.
Let's not believe everything this worshiper has to say.

How is fighting for a vacant title "the right thing" he would still get his shot after the fury wlad rematch. Duva wants to pay for that easy belt it seems. We know she'll have the judges just like glazkovs last fight

and what does glazkov gain by waiting? why not pick up the IBF belt if possible and then make a much larger share of the revenue if/when he faces the klitschko-fury winner in a unification instead of as a mandatory?
He will still get his shot cause he's the mandatory..

Doesnt make a difference one way or the other what Duva does. The IBF only allows a unification to trump a mando thats due, and they dont recognize rematch clauses.

The minute Klitschko exercised the rematch clause, the IBF belt was gone no matter what.............

That would suck, we're finally getting very close to having a unified champion, and this is what boxing needs, and all of a sudden Duva comes with her BS trying to buy her fighter a vacant title. Watch all the belts get dispersed again and we'll have to wait another 20 years for someone to unify the heavyweight titles. Nobody wants to do it because you then have to face the toughest opponents out there and you have to pay sanctioning fees for each organisation everytime you fight which is a terrible thing, non profit organisations my ass.

Remember, Duva doesn't work with Al Haymon, so if she gets a hold of the IBF, Wilder will probably never become the IBF champ. Sad!
