The fight was scored correctly, a Canelo win. And how does fans scoring on Twitter scoring imply there was going to be bought judges?
    - When the HBO announcers said that on twitter they have Canelo pitching a shutout, That made me think about the judges, its media trying to sway the opinion of the masses. I wont get into that because thats a entirely different can of worms, like watching a fight without the volume vs watching the fight with sound, it can affect your opinion of what is going on. Yes I know how fights are scored..

That could have easily EASILY been the difference in the Klit vs Fury fight. 1-2 beautiful hard counters and a few rounds swing the other way. So yes. Is the answer.

It wasn't really a back and forth fight, the fight was pretty much the same all the way. Very competitive, but with Cotto coming up just a hair short in almost every round. There are very few rounds where you can decisively say that was a Cotto round, as is evidenced by the fact that there was not a single round that Cotto won on the official scorecards that he won on all 3 scorecards.

Cotto is one of my favorite fighters, and I am relatively indifferent towards Canelo, and believe he was quite soundly beaten by Lara. So I am not a biased Canelo fan, or a Cotto hater.

I just score objectively. Feel free to watch the fight again, and you will see what I mean. Cotto was content to unload his combinations at Canelo's arms and gloves. Didn't really create openings as we are use to seeing, and never sat down on his punches enough to take the closer rounds where Canelo's heavier shots were the difference makers, or enough to take control of the pace in closer rounds were that would have been the difference maker.

          who wears short shorts!

What controversy? Cotto got his azz kicked.

Oh, my bad. You meant the controversy in the Margarito rematch. Yea, that was some comtroversial bs. Dr stopping the fight just as Cotto started losing steam.

I gave him the 11th. Think he clearly took it. Other than that, miguel toto was weary of sitting down on his punches. Now he's just the newest clip on Canelos highlight reel.
