At the very least Cortez is bringing forth ideas to improve the vantage point of judges which we all know wo question needs to be revisited especially with the controversy surrounding the Cotto fight and numerous others...

He is Puerto Rican and he is wrong. Cotto fought well and put up a good fight but he clearly lost. Cotto won 4 rounds tops. Canelo landed more punches and the harder punches and was able to hurt Cotto while Cotto could not hurt Canelo. Cotto is an excellent 35 year old boxer who lost to an excellent 25 year old boxer who was too big, too young, too fast and hit too hard for him. The judges probably had Canelo the winner by a point or two extra but they had the correct winner. Cortez was a referee but he was never a judge and that's a good thing.

Cortez was arguably the WORST referee of all time.

He was shady as they come, always favoring the promoter's boxer.

              Soto-Lorenzo

              Hatton-Mayweather

Coetzee-Snipes (Cortez acted as the third judge - A UPI poll of sportswriters stated, "Every writer polled at ringside had Coetzee well ahead of Snipes by anywhere from eight to six rounds.")

Makes sense. He's about as old and senile as the bad judges.

wow you are such an insecure idiot you actually think I'm making an argument for Wlad....My point is that if he had landed 2-3 counters in the rounds...The perception would have changed and Fury's movement would have been seen as something he was doing to stay away..

It's pretty much that reason I had Canelo vs Cotto a draw..Despite Canelo's crisp flashy counters, Cotto was still landing punches.. IDC if they were hurting Canelo or not..
