From a actual fight standpoint the fight was ugly setting some pretty alltime worse compubox records. Both guys looked bad but Klitscho looked worse and Fury deserved the win. But the shocking upset grew as the fight went on and Fury was building a big lead on the scorecards and then he upsets and then the bizarre Fury singing after the win went viral on social media all of these factors definitely drove fans to HBO to watch the fight which they re-aired multiple times all day long on HBO, HBO2, HBOWestcoast, ect. I think it aired like 5 times across all HBO platforms that day. And fans clearly flocked to see what happened despite it being a dull fight or not it was a shock factor of Fury upsetting Klitschko.

ALso a huge improvement from the ESPN afternoon fight and some of his previous fights.

I actually think the ref in his fight in the Garden made Wlad more watchable because he forced him to fight.

Luckily you are correct as Fury is definitely entertaining. I guess you work with what you've got and he manages to be exciting with limited fighting skills so kudos to Fury I'll watch all his fights. Something was wrong with Klit though he was prime to be KO'd

I agree Fury is nothing special to me as far as Boxing skills. But I can't deny he is EXTREMELY entertaining. Dude is a weirdo but it's funny to see. When he busted out and sang the Armageddon song in the ring and even got them German fans to sing along tell me you weren't glued to the TV? The batman suit and all the crazy antics clearly work and get people to watch.

It's no surprise boxing has suffered as of late in parallel to the reign of Wlad over a boring euro-dominated division. Now the West is taking it over again, boxing will be back to full health soon

Fury definitely won. He looked pretty bad doing so though, and as everyone said, it looked more like Wald gave the fight away, than Fury won it.

Maybe Klitchko is old and slowed enough he can't pull the trigger to get off the shots anymore.

Maybe with a baby and wife, and a very large bank account, at 39, his heart isn't in the game anymore.

Maybe Fury's boring style was the perfect foil for the repetitive Klit performances that never required him to step out of 2nd gear.

I actually really wish fury had more ability in the ring, he would be a truly great personality for the sport of boxing.

Recorded them all but it was to much boxing to watch when i got home so only watched Charlo, Spence, and the "cowboy" fight. "Cowboy" was just because. I was so excited for the Wlad/Fury fight but about 4 rounds in i was glad i recorded cause i began to forward when they were battling with the staring contest. Bute/DeGale though was the fight of the night.

Wlad is a big name so not surprised it did big numbers but it was a big turd
