The WBC is the original and most prestigious belt in any division really. That's all he's saying.
Other than that it's just fun trash talking. People need to relax and realize it's all fight build-up and just back and forth. Truth is Fury and Wilder respect each other and have been circling each other for years at this point. They are both a couple of Jesus freaks that have been doubted from Day 1. They have more in common than differences.
This is all good for boxing..
The WBC belt isn't the most prestigious
So you're wrong on both counts.
You'll find most of the great boxers of history also held the WBA belt, why isn't the WBA just as prestigious then?Comment

And moving deceased fighters UP in the rankings doesnt help their cause much either.....Comment

It's funny, Wilder wasn't talking all of this shit when Wladmir was champion. In fact, he was rather quiet on the subject of facing Klitschko. He figures he can beat Fury, but he feared Wlad, saying he needed a few more fights first.Comment

The WBA might at one time had that prestige, but over the past 5 years or so they have flushed away any sense of prestige or credibility they once had with their "Titles for Everyone!" policies.

Hence the WBC isnt 'prestigious' eitherComment
