its not really hard to figure out why these orgs do what they do its all about money its never been about putting on the best fights or finding the best fighters. the wbc does a good job pretending but they are probably the worst when it comes to doing things for moneySomething here doesnt make sense. I just looked at the IBF website, and in their "results" section ,they list the Klitschko-Fury fight as a mandatory defense. If that is accurate, then Fury doesnt have a mando due for 12 months.
Also, even if the Fury fight wasnt an IBF mando and their website is only referring to it being a WBA/WBO mando, their rules seem to indicate a new heavyweight champ has 12 months to do a mando anyways, as the rule reads "after acquisition".
5.A.
Heavyweight Division
1.
Mandatory Defense Obligation
Because
of the circumstances inherent in and peculiar to the promotion of
major Heavyweight Championship Contests, the Heavyweight Champion shall
defend his Championship within one (1) year after acquisition by him in a
sanctioned contest scheduled for twelve (12
) rounds against the leading available
contender designated by the Championships Chairman.
Not sure why this would go to bid now if its not even due.......Comment

Glazkov shouldn't be in a mandatory position, he lost to Steve Cunningham, but tbf Steve is an highly underrated fighter, no shame in losing to that guy.
I'll be disappointed if they strip Fury, but i suppose it's bound to happen now and everyone will still know who the true champion is.Comment

They sure moved fast on calling for a purse bid. How the hell does Kathy Duva not have time to negotiate if the title barely changed hands on Saturday?Comment

I'm sure there is some Duva logic going on here that involves thinking Fury will freak out or something. But honestly it seems like it'd be in Glazkov's best interest to get a million dollar step aside & then fight the Klitschko/Fury II winner for a couple more million. If he wins that he's "the champion". Best he can hope for with a vacant title is winning it & than parlaying it down the road, assuming he can keep it, into a bigger fight with the Fury/Klitschko II winner anyway. Seems like a less risky situation to just take some $ & get to fight the champion.Comment

Have the fight in the UK as no one else cares
No one cares about a Glazkov fight for the Fury anywhere. No use having a purse bid as there is no interest in the fight. Let the UK have it where it belongs. No one cares about Fluff Fury and some no name unknown Commie nothing challenger. DUH?Comment
