    The father/trainer of former five division world champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire – “Dodong” Donaire - says he “can’t ask for anything more” from his son.

    “Dodong” Donaire told the New Standard/BoxingScene.com that Nonito will wind up sparring ten rounds on Tuesday and Thursday Las Vegas time before leaving for Puerto Rico on Friday.

    I truly hope so. I've wanted to see Donaire at his best since 2012. He looked brilliant in his last two outings against cans, but it's time for some serious comp at 122 where he belongs. A more motivated and sharper Donaire could possibly - possibly - avenge that Rigondeaux loss.

      Fight Lomachenko so he can one-up Rigo at beating you

      then hopefully use that to bait Rigonduck to a match

        Those 3 fights Donaire had at 126 proved he has no business being higher than 122.

          I think 2012 Donaire is peak Donaire. Everything since has been a long slow decline.

            If he's on a decline then that is quite a resume; Rigondeaux, Walters and now people calling for Lomachenko?

            If he was to fight Loma then I don't think there is another boxer out there who would have been in so tough over a 3/4 year span.

              imo its because Nonito is still a big name at 122/126.

              Also on one hand he faced Rigo and Walters two very difficult fighters; on the other hand he lost pretty bad to Rigo and got knocked out by Walters.

                  No No No, Nonito, get revenge on Rigo, take on Loma, if you are truly elite.... Take on the best. Whip that Cuban dude who took you to boxing school.
                  Walters was too big of an Ego jump. Trying to be mini PAC requires PED usage, and will leave you with a pumpkin head!

                  PED = Pumpkin Head

                  Show your Pinoy Pride & take on the best. If you are an elite fighter, fight the best!
