    3. so what? some fighters don't like to make excuses.

Quillin was standing straight up balanced, hands up, and looking at his opponent. What more do people want?
First off, no he wasn't on steady legs. He was swaying and off balanced. The ref looked into his face and deemed him unable to defend himself - end of story. There is no standing 8-count rule in NY, Quillin needed to take a knee if he wanted that time.

Huh??? wtf r u even talking abt?? People are happy cause Quillin was a joke from the start. Thought he was somewhere he wasnt.Thought he was big when he wasnt. GGG would have smashed him the same way.

Jacobs is definitely fighting Quillin again. There was too much hype and too bad a stoppage to not rematch.

Saying that with this "gargantuan win" Jacobs record was now better as not only a dig at Golovkin's resume, but as a "consider this info as a comparison for a possible fight".
You know how you guys can find out who is actually better?
            Make the fight.
            Pretty sad, actually.

Not as good as I expected, really thought it'd break atleast 10,000.

Skills, it has nothing to do with GGG. Quillin has been making an ass of himself since last year. I'm glad it was Jacobs who got the victory because he had something to prove. Had GGG beaten PQ, it wouldn't have meant nearly as much. Even though I felt Quillin's time was coming, I began doubting my initial prediction that it would be Jacobs to give him an embarrassing first loss. Jacobs pulled it off, and hopefully he faces the Lee/Saunders winner next.

Quillin was even bouncing on his toes. If that's not body language for "I'm good to fight" I don't know what is.

I guess it isn't Calzaghe/Manfredo but it leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

I thought it was bad too since Jacobs was on the other side of the ring.

Post fight, good decision. Quillin still seemed out of it, his speech sounded like he had cotton balls in his mouth with a lisp/slur
