Comments Thread For: Fury: Haye is a Fraud, He'll NEVER Get a Payday From Me!

New heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has told the returning David Haye he would rather vacate one of his titles than fight him.

Fury sits atop the heavyweight division after his stunning win over Wladimir Klitschko in Germany on Saturday and, as such, is the man pretenders will now have to negotiate with and then beat.

Amongst that number is Haye, who this week announced a return to the ring after a near four-year exile.

Force Haye to earn a title shot, and not talk his way into one. Haye needs to repair his reputation first.

TYSON FURY has told David Haye he will NEVER get a shot at him.

Tyson Fury hits out at David Haye: I will never fight him to give him the payday he wants

Tyson Fury has told David Haye he will NEVER get a shot at him.

“I’m not giving him a payday. I don’t care if he says I can make £10m, it’s not about money for me.”

Fury pulled off a stunning upset last night to beat Klitschko on points and take his WBO, IBF and WBA belts.

He travelled home toight on the car ferry despite banking around £4m for his 12 rounds.

Fury was supposed to fight Haye twice in 2013 but the former WBA heavyweight champion pulled out twice – first with a cut and then a shoulder injury.

“The man with no name, I tell you now, will never get an opportunity," he said.

“For what he did to me, what he put me through mentally, physically, he tortured me, that kid. And I will never give him an opportunity for that.

“Absolutely point blank I will say David Haye will never get a fight against Tyson Fury after what he did to me.”

The contract for Saturday’s fight included an immediate rematch clause with Klitschko who has two months to decide if he wants another scrap.

Sources close to both camps admitted it does not have to be in Germany again and will take place “where it makes most commercial sense."

Fury’s promoter Mick Hennessy said: “I think right now, Wembley Stadium would be very appealing at the right time of year, definitely.”

Well, done. I hope he sticks to his word & not get tempted because it would be a big fight and an interesting one stylistically.

If Haye gets a few wins and Fury still has the titles it will be too big to turn down. It would be the biggest British fight ever.

As Fury said it's not about the money but then things can change when there's 10 million quid on the table.

If Haye wants a shot then he should earn it and then see if Fury is prepared to give him it. He should certainly do Haye no favours until he's absolutely earned the right, and even then i'd think twice if i was Fury.
