Well, I do think that Joshua is the goods, but I've only seen Youtube highlights of Parker to this point. He can punch, but not sure he's any sort of special talent yet. I do know that he fought Frans Botha (who has to be pushing 100yrs old) last year or the year before, so he has some steps to climb I would think before he gets his shot. I would like to see Joshua fight any up and comer though, so I'd tune in for Joshua-Parker for sure. I believe that Wilder will turn out to be better than many people give him credit for. In fact, I would put money on Wilder over Fury and Wlad.Comment

He's 40. I don't think anything can really change about now. Fighting and aggression isn't even his natural disposition. He was just entirely too used to fighting smaller guys. That's all.Comment

He's is still learning and as the heavyweights are no longer elite fighters he has time.
At the moment I think Fury would frustrate Wilder. Hope it gets made. An undisputed heavyweight champ would be at fun.Comment

C'mon, Cliff. How does Wlad not get straight F's across the board?? This was the worst HW title performance ever viewed by ANYONE in the history of the recorded sport. God awful in every possible category. You have rendered your report card completely irrelevant and farcicle with this issue. If Wlad get's B's (and one A+!!!) then there can be no such thing as C's or below. You should make it clear to the reader that B is the floor. Better yet, stop writing these dumb Report Card articles. They are now, more than ever, meaningless.
And if you think this was the worst, you haven't seen Byrd-Williamson or Tubbs-Page.Comment

Fluff Fury is the worst boxer to ever hold the title
Fury is an unskilled OAF a cartoonish lopsided clown nothing more whois now a champ in a division of other clowns and circus acts devoid of talent and now led by an Oaf Fury. No wonder boxing is ignored in the USA.Comment

F's for speed and power? Based on what? There's no evidence he's lost power. There was some that's he's slowing a bit and that was reflected. Still quick handed. This was about range and reach and game plan more than either of those categories in a vacuum. His defense was still fine; he didn't get hit with a ton of power. Intangibles could have been lower but, as I noted, he fought like Wlad and even went for some big shots late. He also didn't quit. It got outboxed in a two way ugly fight. Not beat down. I've done C's and lower (see the Bradley-Rios post).
And if you think this was the worst, you haven't seen Byrd-Williamson or Tubbs-Page.
To be fair, Wlad should have received the following marks:
Speed: D (slow hands, feet, reflexes)
Power: N/A (not enough data)
Defense: F
Intangibles: N/A (you really must explain in the article what you specifically mean by this as people interpret this very differently)Last edited by NachoMan; 11-30-2015, 09:52 PM.Comment
