No Wlad just lost dude, it's that simple. I've never been a huge Fury fan but I give him full credit for making Wlad look lost, desperate and terrified to engage. One does not give away the heavyweight championship after weeks of grueling training leading up to the fight and eleven years without a defeat prior to that. Yesterday was just Wlad's time, couldn't deal with the footwork....Comment

Wlad aged overnight physically and had no plan B for Fury's outfoxing tactics. Wlad dissapointed me, it was like he didn't even want to win
Fury won but he didn't look impressive. Both fighters bored the **** outta me.
Future looks bleak for the HW division, it's sad that sloppy af Fury is the kingpin now.Last edited by lopetego; 11-29-2015, 03:01 PM.Comment

Why is there even talks of a rematch. That fight was horrible.
One guy fainting all night and the other one doing even less.
Wlad should just retire, his grabbing tactics worked completely against him this timeComment

Oh Wilder is one of the most active heavyweights I've seen in years. He has an athletic style, but that's kinda all he has, his athleticism. All offense. He's so open, if a quality veteran stands up to him and sets traps and counters, I think Wilder loses big. Don't get me wrong I like Wilder he brings excitement. It's just that I see him for what he is. He needs a lot of work, his athleticism carried him so far in his career and it can only carry him so far.I'm not disagreeing with you about Wilder but people were saying similar things about Fury: saying he's clumsy, no chin, and all mouth. Which of course he isn't, well his chin isn't great but he's a skillful boxer and he always backs up what he says.
I still think Wilder is better than he looks. Surely being skinny gives him agility that the heavier guys just don't have? I see him as a harder opponent for Fury Than Wlad was.Comment

Because he knew Fury could counter him if he overcommitted. Why can't people understand that fighters don't willingly choose not to throw punches. They hold back because they're wary of the consequences of a missed shot. Wlad was afraid to throw shots because he wasn't confident they'd land, and Fury's jabbing, feinting and footwork weren't giving him the opportunity to unload. Had he thrown caution to the wind and just bulled forward throwing wild haymakers he might have had some success, but Wlad's entire mindset is focussed on controlling his opponent and landing that perfect shot with minimum risk to himself. He was never given the chance so he just spent the whole fight posturing.Wlad was pathetic in there. I mean how could anyone in their right mind expect to even be remotely competitive in a boxing match if you don't let your hands go?
Great win for Fury but I think it was more of Wlad giving the fight away to Fury opposed to Fury taking it from Wlad. There were tons of opportunities for Wlad to crush him with a right and instead he just stood there looking confused.Comment

I agree here. Wilder isn't half the boxer Wlad was but he also doesn't have any of his inhibitions or caution. He's quite willing to go crazy and just start flinging wild shots out of leftfield, and that makes him both super vulnerable and also super dangerous. Fury won't be able to control him as he did Wlad because he doesn't mind taking a shot to land one. Fury will have to make Wilder pay for his sloppy mistakes and that can be dangerous against a fast, unorthodox, long-limbed slugger with bags of confidence in himself and fight-ending power in both fists. I believe Fury would beat him, but I wouldn't be surprised if he see a very close wild shoot out that threatens to go either way.I'm not disagreeing with you about Wilder but people were saying similar things about Fury: saying he's clumsy, no chin, and all mouth. Which of course he isn't, well his chin isn't great but he's a skillful boxer and he always backs up what he says.

Wlad threw the fight to collect big time in Macau
Vitali and Wlad set us all up in a thrown fight.
Long odds against Fluff Fury to lose to Wlad. Wlad is near 40 and thinking retiring soon with a high ring wife and daughter to provide for. The Ukraine is a mess and financially shaky. Word is it through Interpol is that Wlad's representatives spread around over $10 million in various casinos even in Hong Kong and Macau that returned as high as $80 million for the Fury win. Think that isn't possible? Wlad threw the Fight and collected BIG. It's a business and Wlad fighting in Germany had few opportunities to collect big. Watch how this plays out. It was a thrown fight for millions. It was a c0mmie play by Wlad to collect large nothing wrong with that it's a business. FACT.Comment
