That is a health and safety risk, and anyone has boxed before knows the difference between boxing on a smooth hard canvas,a bumpy canvas and a canvas like that.
They where dead right to check the ring beforehand, their will be over 40 stone jumping around that ring tonight and the ring should be up to safety standards.

If the fight went ahead, fury fell and hurt his ankle, everyone would say o excuses, and he is pulling a David haye. Would you rather that instead.?
And it's on tape so we know they aren't lying about it.
Exactly. If your feet are not supported by a fairly solid surface, you're very likely to turn your ankle. It probably will never effect Klitschko due to the way he moves but it's certainly designed to hinder Fury.

I'd threaten to pull out too. Trying mind games and getting little advantages over your opponents is one thing, but purposely doing something to the point of them risking an injury is just a total ***** move.

This is all another tactic that Fury is trying to get inside of Wlad's head... complaining about the gloves, ring, etc. to distract. They are both fighting in the same ring, so they both have to deal with the it if its an issue. I doubt its the first time this type of canvas is used as the champ wouldn't want to use something he hasn't fought on before. So if that's the case why hasn't it been brought it before... exactly.

not really a big deal imo. it shouldn't affect the fight at all. clown fury is just scared and having last minute thoughts about being ko'ed. at least with the softer canvas it will better cushion fury when he gets KO'ed cold. like falling onto pillows.

They are expecting some heavy knock downs here.....but it really does look dangerous , I wonder what Wlads thoughts are.
