Lara is a world champ Rodriguez was borderline bum brought in to be slaughtered by ward. Those fighters aren't even in the same league and are not as highly valued by haymon. Haymon will not put any fighters he cares about on HBO. Until I see otherwise this fight doesn't even seem possible. But even if you ignore the politics Lara brings nothing to the table for any big name fighter. What I don't get is why isn't he calling out other haymon fighters and why they ain't calling him out those are fights that can actually happen.

Other then khan I think lara is the most unhappy fighter in his stable facing these type fighters haymon is picking out for him. I think haymon knows lara win or lose makes ugly fights and doesn't want his fighters he has more invested in being in a ugly fight or losing. So he can't fight haymons A list fighters and because he's with haymon other big fights are closed because of politics. But the most realistic fights that are all in house for lara don't seem possible and are never mentioned from him or the other haymon fighters in his weight. That just seems strange to me.

In full agreement. I'm surprised they didn't shove him into at least two Mayweather ppv's. Maybe his asking price is too high but the guy seems stuck. Maybe at 160 they'll throw him at the winner of Quillin and Jacobs.

Lol like it or not that's how it went down. And with Taffet leaving HBO saying he's ready to reach on the other side to make fights and Hershman gone, won't be long till Haymon fighters are with the HBO network again. And Lara has called out haymon fighters, realistically the only haymon fighters he'd be able to fight is JRock, Andrade isn't with haymon, he's not gonna fight the Charlos and he already beat trout convincingly. If he gets the Jacobs quillin winner that's a good look. But Lara ain't no bum and he isn't making himself out to be about money, weight or networks like other fighters today. He'd be the third 154lber to move up for Golovkin and the best one. Unles you wanna keep pulling hair about caneloweight

My point is whether they go through the charade of offering or not haymons history says he won't allow it anyway. So why we talking about a fairy tale fight that can't be made because haymon won't green light it on HBO. Why isn't Lara talking about realistic fights with any number of the fighters at 154 and 160 that are haymon fighters?

End of the day Lara would be the BEST and most skilled fighter GGG has ever beaten as a pro. I think it would be the usual ugly fight. And if I could get an over/under around 8 rounds... I would bet $$$$ the over.

It actually does. Duva offered them 500k + Canadian PPV. The mandatory spot would offer Beterbiev a 25% total purse right. That fight would do great in Canada or Russia IMO and both would earn more.

Easy to say hell go to 160 and fight GGG when he knows haymon won't make the fight on HBO. Kind of like how it was easy for Lara to say he was going to break canelos face during the promotion but when the fight came he ran like a scared girl. Talk is cheap with Lara. He's calling out a fighter when he knows his adviser won't let any of his guys fight on HBO making the fight almost impossible to make. Why ain't he calling out quillen, jacobs, charlo, jwill, ect? Those are realistic fights again haymon fighters.
