Comments Thread For: Fury Vows: I'll Put Klitschko To Bed in The Sixth Round

British heavyweight Tyson Fury, who challenges Wladimir Klitschko on Saturday, is the living embodiment of Mickey O'Neil, the unhinged gypsy boxer played by Brad Pitt in Guy Ritchie's 2000 film 'Snatch'.

Fury's clash with Klitschko, initially slated for October 24, was postponed after the 39-year-old WBA, IBF, IBO and WBO title-holder tore a tendon in his calf.

It has given Fury, the 27-year-old showman from the gypsy community with the most evocative name in boxing, an extra month to raise the temperature around the ice-cold Ukrainian.

      Haye 2.0?

Okay I'll admit I know absolutely nothing about Fury.

So someone please tell me is this guy David Haye 2.0? A guy who talks mad S!!T before the fight then gets his A$$ KICKED in the ring?

Or is he the real deal and can back it up in the ring?

Because there's been a laundry list of guys who talked a lot about Klitschko then eventually got their A$$ES handed to them.

Fury looks thin and ready. But it also looks like he actually trains to keep his hands down at all times. What a waste of an opportunity.

Just watched the mitt work with Fury someone posted up there. He looked fast until about 6:26 -- and I'd pro-rate that and give you 3 rounds. And I'm not choosing sides, but he's pulling that Haye shat where Adam Booth held the mitt up on a stick and had haye punch it (shut up about the toe). Fury looks nervous. He dances, prances like the circus show. I just want someone to take fighting Wlad seriously. Most can't win because they were never there in the first place. Fury no different. He picked 6 rounds bc Lewis said he'd get ko'd in 5. i'm taking Wlad in 8.

Fury and Haye don't have much similarities in regards to their fighting style.
Fury is a bit nuts and seems to have a bit of a temper. If Wladimir is slowing picking him apart I could see Fury going all out and trying to make it a brawl.

Hard to say for sure because the only time I seen Fury in trouble was when he fought Cunningham. Steve Cunningham dropped Fury and when Tyson Fury got up he was pissed and ended up knocking Cunningham out. He didn't mind fouling a little in order to get the KO either.

Fury's crazy mindset might work for him ....or it could work against him if he gets careless.

                Sure.

Just make sure you don't punch yourself again.

fury is "in character". he is presenting profile to his trainer, never squaring up, and never stops moving. Even when punching he does not really set his feet. If he can punch going backwards like this it will be very good for him. His movement skills have really come along well since his clumsy battles with London cabbies, etc. He is practicing the way he plans on fighting.

Fury moves pretty well for a big guy.
