Jr. has a point. Everyone wanted an action fight. This is one of the biggest fights of the year. And Cottos punches did not hurt Canelo, and Canelo looked big, strong and fast. Heavy punches.

So why didn't Canelo try to finish him, or impose his will? One of the biggest fights of your life, and you just sit back and box, when it looks like you can ko him?

When people going to realize canelo is not a one dimensional come first slugger He doesn't need to walk through punches taking unnecessary abuse because he can only win if he knocks you out. If you stand and trade he can brawl and rearrange your face like angulo, or knock your lights out early like Kirkland. But he's also skilled enough that if you come in riding your bike scared to trade and get kod he can out box you, make you miss and counter and win rounds that way. Hes not a slugger like Provodnikov who will walk through and eat punches with his face because he has no other option to beat you.
