Well, the judges haven't given Canelo a hard time yet, and I don't think he's KO'd a top fighter yet anyway, he usually wins by decision against the best. So I think he'll be alright. Especially if he stays in his own division, he'll be safe.

yes that is because he is a young guy the future so they figure he can make them money. he still should have KO'd cotto. when he fights real MW's he better try to punch harder

I said it before the fight Cotto has an underrated chin, and Canelo hasn't KO'd a top fighter. George Forman has always said, "if your jab snaps an opponents head back, then you have the power to knock him out." Canelo's Jabs never snapped Cotto's head back. And after watching the fight 3 times, Canelo never truly hurt Cotto like the commentators kept trumpeting. In the 12th we saw the first time Canelo truly hurt Cotto, but Cotto shook it off and kept fighting. Canelo is going to have a rough time with GGG. GGG's work rate is high and he's accurate, and he ain't smaller than Canelo. Canelo won't get away with landing 8 hard punches and winning the round.

He was on his bike trying to outbox canelo. So what game plan change can he make? The few times he tried to stand his ground and trade he took major damage. Canelo defense and countering took away cottos jab and he was to afraid to sit down on his punches because he would of been knocked out. He missed 500 of the punches he threw. Plus there is a reason despite all the crying and sore lose tactics from cotto he hasn't talked rematch and neither has roach. Matter fact roach said if cotto don't retire he thinks he should move back down in weight and he would like to see canelo fight GGG. Sure don't sound like roach wants canelo again. Only mystery if they fight again is will cotto get knocked out this time.
You've been all over these boards quoting Compubox, and saying Canelo landed more punches than Cotto means he won and Compubox proves it. well using your logic, Canelo lost to Trout, because Trout out punched and out landed Canelo, in 7 of 12 rounds and ended the fight with more punches landed. More than doubling Canelo's landed punches in 5 of 12 rounds, and landed more power punches in 5 of 12 rounds. Trout out jabbed Canelo in 8 of the 12 rounds. Canelo landed 30 less punches, 31 less jabs, and landed 1 more power punch. Damn that looks like a win for Trout using your sophisticated boxing acumen.

How can you score the fight a split decision?
His brain scored it for Canelo.
              His heart scored it Cotto.
His arsehole scored it for Cotto.

              Split Decision for Cotto.

Roach has polluted the minds of cotto fans with his "new miguel cotto" rhetoric.

Love how you left out 2 key factors in that fight. 1 canelo put Trout on his @ss first time anyone dropped him in a fight. 2 it was an open scoring fight. Meaning they announced all the scores in the arena. So the last 3rd of the fight was sapped of any drama because Canelo knew he was up on cards and could only lose it trout knocked him out. He clearly took his foot of the gas and coasted the last few rounds because of that. If not for open scoring canelo likely knocks trout out. Canelo landed the harder shots dropped trout and made him miss all night giving him the lowest connect rate in his career to that point. You bringing up jabs but trout Landed only 14%. Even trout after the fight said he lost. But leaving out the knockdown and open scoring 2 huge factors in the fight and why canelo won is pretty foolish. And this is why I hate open scoring the final 3rd of the fight was pointless when one guy already has a lead ruins the fight.

Listen to trout after the fight explaining why he lost. "He was the quicker stronger man. He was the better fighter."

No way Cotto won more rounds than that. I really want to believe that you are just a lifetime troll because you have been making the craziest claims for years. Admit defeat and stop making ricans look bad.
                    Thanks for keeping it real!

But yeah, I coined the phrase "The usual delusionals" for Cotto's fans specifically. If you speak to them in private they'll try to convince you that Cotto was Floyds toughest adversary lol. They'll also have an excuse for EVERY LOSS he has. It's pretty bad with them. They even make excuses for his poor sportsmanship/professionalism when he walks out the ring without giving an interview every time he loses.

To me, they've stooped lower than Pacs' fans ever have. And now with them claiming Cotto was robbed and deserved the win, it's probably better to avoid talking to them about boxing entirely.

Canelo has enough power to stop guys by accumulation. There's a reason cotto pressuring him was short lived. He was getting hit with hard pubches in those exchanges. Cotto was moving away and circling most of the fight and canelo never looked to apply pressure...probably not gonna result in a ko.
