PBC Welterweight Tournament (147lb, no catchweights, seeds in brackets)

Side A:

Porter (1) vs. Guerrero (8)

Garcia (3) vs. Broner (6)


Side B:

Thurman (2) vs. Algieri (7)

Khan (4) vs. Spence (5)


Winner of each side bracket meets in the final, draw results in 3-month future rematch.

I'd rather have PBC do a WW tourney between Garcia, porter, Thurman and Broner where each fights each other. Or have Garcia v Bradley, if that could be done.

From what I heard it's suppose to be a 8 man tournament so I'm assuming it's going go down rankings list and if ppl decline they grab next highest pretty sure khan going decline since he would have to fight somebody with a pulse

Rated #6 by the WBC.

Frankly, I thought that the WBC's plan would simply be to get their four highest rated contenders, at each weight, to simply go through a double eliminator and be done with it.

winner of those two fights square up.

sad part is that I don't see Amir Khan stepping into the ring with any of the available top 10 WBC rated fighers (Ponomarev, Robinson, and Vargas have political hangups) before booking at least one massive payday.

Is this tournament going to exclusively be PBC Welterweights?

I hope not because I would like to see Sadam Ali in this tournament

-Sadam Ali is already mandatory challenger to the HBO belt held by Tim Bradley.
-Sadam Ali isn't rated in the WBC's top 10

Guerrero is ranked top 10 by wbc.. havent even seen all the brackets yet youre complaining

It's not a real tournament without all the top welterweights. If it's a PBC welterweight tournament it should be:

1. Porter vs 8. Guerrero
2. Thurman vs 7. A. Martinez
3. Garcia vs. 6. Spence
4. Khan vs. 5. Peterson
