I was gonna make a thread actually. He deserves a ton of respect even if I didnt actually have him winning any of his big fights.

Went to Germany to fight Sturm.

Went to Argentina to fight Martinez.

Went to Monte Carlo to fight GGG.

Went to Germany again to fight Abraham.

Big balls. Fair play to the guy. All except the GGG fight were close, and even then he took a hell of a beating before finally being stopped. Can probably feel unlucky not to have gotten the nod in at least one of his close fights. Not too bad for a guy with limited talent.

I think TBA is more apt.

        The British Abraham

I like Murray, he's a tough kid and not an easy mark for anyone, but he's also a step below the top tier. He didn't beat Sturm, should probably have got the nod against a Maravilla who was already on the slide and could have beaten AA - albeit a slightly faded version - if he'd kept up the pressure a bit more. The kid deserves props, and should probably be able to keep getting fights as a legitimate 'opponent' but simply doesn't have the talent to make it to the top level.

I've said some bad things about Murray in the past. Not no more though,he deserves his due.Fighting away all the time and not against pushovers either must be hard on you mentally.

Robbed in 2 of his 4 world title fights,he was definitely beat against AA though.

He was better than Abraham, he just blew it.

All you have to do with Abraham is back him up and he will go into that defensive shell every time you throw. When he goes into that she'll you tee off - rinse and repeat.

Murray did the backing him up part, got him into that defensive shell....then he just backed off and let him come forward. It was beyond frustrating to see him do that every round.

He said he studied the Froch fight 20+ times in the lead up, but it didn't look that way. He didn't once throw heavy shots when AA was shelled up, Froch done it several times every round.

Hard to fathom but you can only assume he felt the power and was tentative. Abraham looked bad.
