I had it 7-5 Canelo too. The scorecards were way off.

I think Cotto won the 1st and the 2nd rounds and maybe you could have given him 2 more...4 rounds is the most i could give him

I had it 7-5 Alvarez, but could have easily been at least 8-4 Alvarez or even, 9-3 Alvarez. I gave Cotto swing rounds on my card to even out my bias of being a huge Canelo fan.

Like in the Lara fight there comes a point when the opposition in front of Canelo finally gets so caught up in moving they forget there's a FIGHT that needs to be won and usually get dogged out in the second half of the fight.

It was a close fight but most definitely they got the decision right. Lederman is legally blind, in convinced. Comoubox was a joke. Cotto did what he could without staying in harm's way (arms reach of Canelo) like everyone else does. Survives in some sense.

        Thoughts?
Watched the fight at the bar that I usually head to for fights. Scored the first round 10-10, flipped between the two for the next couple rounds than honestly stopped scoring; my sense of things was that Canelo was winning the fight, Cotto was keeping things close, and I was watching to see when Canelo would start to fade late, to be honest (fade started to happen at about Round 10, if I remember correctly and in my opinion).

Heading into Round 10, i think my thought was that Canelo needed to decisively pick up one of 10/11/12 to lock up the fight, but I had him not really doing enough to be all the way sure (Once Cotto saw Canelo start to tire, he picked up his business/activity, Canelo stalked his way in/around, needing to close the round strong to overcome the early buildup.

7-5/8-4 Canelo seems about how the fight was going to me, 9-3 if you want to be a homer about it; anything beyond that was just bad scoring to me.

          3- Canelo
          4- Canelo
          5- Canelo
          6- Cotto
          7- Canelo
          8- Canelo
          9- Cotto

Can't remember my reasoning for each round, but that was my scorecard after one watch.

Well scored, that's how I saw it as well.

I seem to be the only one who saw Cotto KO Canelo in the 6th.

              I don't get the controversy...
