Its very simple, either Canelo defends within WBC rules which state the limit for that belt is 160 not 155 or he will be stripped. Then when he feels like challenging for any of the MW titles he must go through Golovkin. I expect Canelo to be stripped before Christmas if not sooner.

That's sad.

JUST FIGHT AT 160 FFS. THERE IS NO CANOLAWEIGHT.
(He still has time to make an official decision, but this is not a good look)

That's sad.
the thing people are ignoring is that whether canelo fights ggg or not he is going to vacate the title

This is ridiculous of Canelo. Perhaps a CW might be ok when you've moved up 6 divisions already, but 160 is near Canelos weight already. Does Canelo want credit for beating GGG, nobody else has asked for a CW to fight GGG, except from Floyd, who doesn't even want to really fight GGG at any weight.
Its ok for Floyd to ask for a CW because hes trying to protect his zero and people already know Floyd never takes any risks. But Canelo has already lost before, so he might as well fight GGG at 160, he don't want to be known for not being a risk taker like Floyd. Whats the worse thing that can happen......lose maybe? But again hes lost before already.Last edited by hugh grant; 11-25-2015, 02:02 PM.
