Not surprised. For God's sake he needs to stay disciplined though, good that he's already back in the gym sparring a few weeks after the fight, he needs to stay there

Didn't think he was actually retiring. He needs to line another fight up ASAP, he obviously doesn't have the self-control to handle long stretches of inactivity. Hope he gets back to where he was a few fights ago and we get Ruslan/Rios, a real toe-to-toe war!

one of the best boxing news I have heard all year!

hes too young to retire and shouldn't retire because the lost, just get your ass in shape and stay in shape year round so you can actually sharpen yourself instead of just crash dieting and starving yourself to make weight every damn training camp. Look im a huge Brandon Rios fan probably the only legit Rios fan on this forum and I think Rios is a true legit threat to any of the top 147 (outside pac and may) if hes on point and healthy in shape but if comes back and same old antics coming into camp fat and death at weigh-ins then im officially done supporting dude.

Rios needs to get his head back in the game and just be lucky you got stopped against bradley and not a fucking Ruslan or some big puncher like that or else you would have been for reals damaged.

Promoters and TV networks are reluctant to use fighters that have a history of missing weight. Rios should be expecting a pay cut until he redeems himself.

I have a very hard time believing a 5'7 guy who happens to be a fighter reaches that stage. He's a little flubby, but you've never seen him diabeto style.

I'm 6'1 and on a bad day I might take it to 195 lbs.

I don't believe for a second a relatively small guy like that could ever weigh that much without getting round.
Not a smart thing to do but possible. Ricky Hatton looks to be about the same size as Rios and he was notorious for his astronomical weight gain when he wasn't fighting.
