Agreed. The scores were wide, but at the end the right man won.

They sold enough PPv's to warrant a rematch in May.

I don't think its a good decision to rematch a 11-1, 10-2 & 9-3 scored fight. Granted nearly everyone feels the fight was closer, but few think Cotto won so whats the point? I don't see one & it seems like a bad decision to make a rematch at all, but definitely an immediate rematch.

About the Floyd opinion stuff, he brings up a solid point. GBP fights do seem a lil sketchier than average. Believe Oscar won a fight many thought he lost to Sturm. The fight with Floyd almost went Oscar's way. All the Canelo recent fights have had at least one card that makes no sense. Hell even though the first fight between Floyd & Maidana was close I have a hard time seeing it a draw. And many people thought Mauricio Herrera beat Danny, but of course Danny got the nod in that fight when he was with GBP. Probably more bad cards going GBP fighters ways out there & probably just a coincidence, but its a lil f#cked up thinking about it.

To your first point, a rematch will happen because despite the ridiculous scores real fans know it was close enough to warrant a rematch. Plus I doubt Canelo is going to want to step in the ring with GGG in May.

To your second point Canelo definitely gets favors from the judges, but I also think aside from the Floyd fight that he deserved the victories. Also it seems there are a lot of bad golden boy decisions that go in their favor, but only because it's boxing. Believe me, there were plenty of bad decisions that went the other way. Oscar was on the bad end of decisions to Trinidad and Mosley. Lucas Matthysse was at the end of a bad decision against Zab Judah. etc etc.

I can see how people would have the fight scored for Canelo. However I scored it a draw. Cotto winning 2 early rounds, 4 late rounds, and Canelo winning 4 early rounds, and 2 late rounds. Commentating was as biased as I have heard recently, even the coverage was bias, HBO having only showed 3 or 4 replays in favor of Cotto. When Cotto landed punches and threw combos, Lampley, Max and Roy Jones rarely mentioned it, and in fact often re-discussed something Canelo had done prior, which was very well timed and seemed rather purposeful. They constantly told us how Canelo was hurting Cotto with every punch, while Cotto was only visually hurt by 2 punches which occurred later in the fight, 1 body shot that stopped Cotto in his tracks, and the trade in the 12th round. Cotto did not win this fight, but after seeing the fight 3 times my scoring has not changed at all, draw.
