Surprising that Cotto would be jobbed and humiliated like this after his public spat with the WBC and with Golden Boy's and HBO's preexisting multi million dollar agenda to further brand Canelo as a superstar. I'm shocked. Really.

Seems only the teens on NSB think Canelo "destroyed" Cotto.

The Mexican commentators were almost CRYING because they felt Cotto was BOXING the shyt out of leadfoot...

Again... We get carried away around here with the group-think.

      Free your minds, peasants..

had it 8-4 Canelo. I thought the scores were a little wide but Canelo won.

ODH winning on one card and Canelo getting a draw were far more egregious than the scores for this fight.
The thing is, its happening way too often with Canelo. They didn't even mention the ugly scorecards for the Trout fight. Even in a fight where the winner is correctly chosen, the scorecards give the A reason not to rematch, and it makes them look better in posterity

Fair point, the scorecards have been correct but a little wide IMO and they make a rematch more sellable to the mainstream fans.

Yes the fight was a close but obvious Canelo win, and not to take anything away from him, but the fact the right man won doesn't change the fact the scorecards were way off.

Think of it this way, if the fight had been a close but obvious Cotto win, with those scores Canelo would have still won.

It's never gonna change. My girlfriend only watches big fights I watch and that's usually ones at a decent UK time. She had Canelo winning by 2 rounds. She only knows Miguel from a signed picture on my wall really and not much about Canelo at all.

If she can judge better than a bunch of fat knackers who actually do it as part of their living, it only further offers proof of just how corrupt the sport is and pretty much always has been.

I used to write letters and emails in my younger days when scores were just too far off, it seemed insane not to. Makes no difference though.

Cotto no doubt feels cheated, a very competitive performance after a tough training camp and he gets scores to suggest he was made a meal of. Sad really.

EXACTLY regardless if the scores had him winning by 10 rnds or 1 rnd, the right fighter won the fight, and there was no robbery or controversy.

People need to quit crying about the scores because that's all they have to point to now.

I couldn't give Cotto more than 4 rnds, maybe 5 if I'm being generous, but there is no way you could justify Cotto winnig that fight.

I watched with my boy from NY that's PR and a huge Cotto fan, and he even admitted Cotto lost, along with everyone at my fight party and they were all rooting for Cotto. Also, nobody even had the fight that close.

Canelo won get over it, and quit crying about the scores because it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

Cotto is my 2nd favorite fighter and and I have a lot of respect for him, but he lost BOTTOM LINE!!!!!

Also, I have watched multiple times with the sound off.

They were ****ing ridiculous, and once again it's really unfortunate because Alvarez didn't need judges in his pocket to win that fight.
