I love watching great boxing but even I turned away from this fight after a while. Rigo needs to go but better guys than this. He needs a donaire rematch.

He is boring and he fights in a non compelling way.

Was there anybody that was thoroughly entertained by him this past Saturday? After watching him fight you can understand more why he is so hard to promote and get people excited about watching him. Even the most hard core of guy that likes the hit and run style had to be bored to death.

Going into the fight I know I was thrilled to be able to watch him fight but damn I came away from that fight rather annoyed and bored. Im glad that fight wasn't the precursor to the main event. Luckily the precursor fight got my the blood flowing again.

But honestly can we all agree Rigo is just not fun to watch.
I actually enjoyed it, but I can see why people are so irritated with it

I actually think the backlash is exaggerated, kinda, I didn't think the fight was that bad, I mean Rigo is so class, there's always something to admire. And he doesn't rely on any dirty tactics, it's truly pure boxing.

But if you're trying to use the two week notice as an excuse for an otherwise less than thrilling performance, I must disagree with that, his opponent also had a two week notice, he stood in front of Rigo all night, wide open, with far less skill than Rigo. Rigo should have ran through the guy. We can argue some points, but just about any other top 10 fighter would have a t/ko on his record if the skill discrepancy was so vast.

Me being a boxing head. I love mostly all fights but I was found to be very bored and irritated by this fight. Maybe it's because all the hype people gave him on these boards, about how he's such a master. I found nothing masterful about that performance. I love a great surgical and scientific break down of a boxer and that's what his hype people gave this guy. It was none of that.

What did you find enjoyable about that fight.

Hopefully his next fight will be different because if he comes with another performance like that. He will be in big trouble with Roc Nation.

We all love a fighter that can break down another fighter surgically and scientifically but that fight was straight up garbage.

With Rigo you either look at him as a boring azz fighter or an amazing master boxer. But that performance last Saturday everyone has to agree was bad and unentertaining even to the staunchest hit and run style lovers.

I know his opponent wasn't great, but I enjoyed how he kept him at a distance and never even came close to getting hurt. I liked how balance Rigo was and how he often made Drian look very ****** with his swings and misses. Also how Rigo just continued to do his thing and didn't care what kind of responses the crowd made.

Are you kidding me? I know you are joking.

Rigo landed 76 punches total. It was fine he kept his opponent at the safe distant and made him miss badly. But this is called boxing. The sweet science. He may have kept him at a distant and was never in danger of getting hurt and he made him miss wildly, but a true blue boxer would have made the dude pay for missing him. It's hit and not get hit. He did not get hit, I'll give him that but he didn't hit back much if at all.

That was a terrible version of the sweet science he displayed and if that's what you love I'll pass.
