i didnt see the fight at the weekend thankfully, but it's just boxing fan's going to one extreme to the other.

one bad performance and ' i never want to see him again ' ' most boring fighter ever '

one loss = ' he was never good anyway ' ' who did he ever fight? '

boxing fan's can be so tiresome
Look rigo is not been seen by lots of people. He doesn't get a lot of tv time. So when you finally get to perform on a huge stage like this past weekend you have to put on a show and make a name for yourself. You are only as good as your last performance and this performance was garbage.

I will never forget your post in the master thread

You were saying you wanted the "face first brawlers" to get of your screen so you could watch the "God" get to work . Ahhhhhh, how much better was that Rigo fight, doe?

Anyway, why the **** does every Rigo nob sucker always relief the Cuban from fault by putting it on his opponent? He was fighting an unranked, low tier, Filipino Balut vendor whom had his best times 2 weight divisions south and was extremely limited in every department of the sport... Why the hell didn't Rigondeaux simply blow him out of the water? Drian posed little to no threat with his limitations in every department, why did Rigo have to wait for his opponent when he was in complete control and had every advantage imaginable?

I always wanted to ask this hope I get a genuine answer.

exactly so you're proving my point without even realising it.

before this fight, he would of been extremely exciting, after this weekend 'i never want to see him again'

Lol I was kidding about that. Just some friendly trolling. And his style is ingrained into him. He doesn't what he wants and at 35 that's not gonna change lol. If a guy is gun shy rigos not gonna turn into margarito. That's what happens when you're an amateur til you're 30

Thing is, he had several opportunities to light him up, especially when Francisco was completely exposed after throwing some God awful punches, Rigo would rather headlock than seize the opportunity. I don't know man, I kinda feel like Rigondeaux blew it with this performance. I followed him and defended him for several years, I'm at the point that I have given up. No matter how much skill he has, if he fights to the level of his opposition, I'm not sure I want to watch much more of him.

I mean come on, the same fans that clowned Lomachenko and even Leo Santa Cruz for not disposing of their overmatched opponents, are the exact same people blaming Rigo's performance on his lousy opponent. I'm glad Rigondeaux is getting his career back on track, I'm disgusted at how his first reappearance was so awful. Then he wonders why no one wants to watch him and complains when fighters have no interest in fighting against a man whom stinks up any venue.

He should honestly change his nickname from Chacal to Zorrillo. Much more fitting

No there were plenty rigotards disappointed in his performance. The only diff between leo is that he tries to knock out his insurance sales men and can't. Rigo just didn't care to

I didn't prove anything. Before this fight I heard lots and lots of noise of him being boring and not an exciting fighter. And I also heard he was a great boxing executor, so going in I was excited to see for myself what I thought.

And my conclusion is that he is rather boring and fights in a very non compelling way. There wasn't much science about his game. He didn't exchange with the guy and when he made the guy miss he never made the guy pay for it.

As a Rigo fan I definitely wish he was a lil more aggressive with guys like he was in there with Saturday cuz thats not a guy that should be lasting the distance with a P4P type guy, but his style is some elite boxing strategy type **** that regardless if its boring or not to you its an extremely effective style that represents the core goal of the sport, hit & not get hit.

Didn't his opponent go 1-1 in his last two fights and lose one by first round ko? Rigo should have looked like prime Roy Jones in the ring against a guy like that when he is in a showcase fight on a major ppv. Nobody to blame but himself.

Depends. I thought the Donaire fight was amazing. But against lesser opposition Rigo can be painfully dull. There's no denying it. They can't do shit, and he won't do shit.
