I blame Roach too for making Cotto feel like he was in more control throughout the fight.

I honestl feel bad for Cotto. I had it 116-112 for Canelo.

The problem is that Cotto had soooo much hope in Freddie Roach. Freddie Roach is not the same Freddie Roach from the Tyson days nor is he the Freddie Roach from the early Pacquiao days...He just ISNT...and Miguel Cotto felt like him having Freddie Roach is what allowed him to spark out a completely overmatched Delvin Rodriguez, a hobbled Sergio, and GGG's leftovers in Daniel Geale.. Those 2 tomato cans and the injured Maravilla gave Cotto false hope..

At times, he stilled looked great in the fight. He had some really good moments. But, for him to put up this response to the fight...idk...he has the Pacquiao syndrome, courtesy of Roach

Hahaha what a joke Cotto is. That sore loser running out the arena after he lost refusing to give a ring interview and skipping the post fight press conference. He's delusional landed less punches at lower connect rate the canelo. Got his face busted open and ran all night. The one round he stood his ground and traded with canelo he took a massive beating and went back to running the rest of the fight to avoid getting knocked out. I gave cotto 3 rounds max. Get over it you lost and it wasn't that close. Next time be a professional and don't pull a Broner running out the ring. You embarrassed yourself.

Champ, I was rooting for you but that didn't happen. In my eyes you won 4 rounds (5 at best). Nothing to be ashamed of champ, you did good but got bested last Saturday!

I did not think a draw would have been a bad result, Canelo was way lazy and Cotto had a superb defence early on, he was slipping a lot of punches but then he was caught they were thundering punches.

Canelo is way overhyped on the back of most of his performances when really he is nothing more than another Chavez Jr. Fighting guys much smaller and relying far too much on his size rather than skills.

He gets murdered if he ever competes against fully fledged middleweights. Don't expect him to fight GGG any time soon, maybe a fight versus Lemiuex in a couple of years.

I didn't have Cotto winning by 8 rounds (didn't have him winning at all), but the fight was competitive. If this was a masterclass put on by Canelo, then that's a lower standard than I hold.
Either way, I do understand why Cotto is pissed. When the judges have this scored as a complete shut-out (which Mayweather v Canelo was btw), then as a fighter, this has to make you think that something is shady.
Maybe Cotto would still have refused to be interviewed if he lost a closer decision, but I don't think so.
The completely one-sided was bull**** and should make the case for mandatory open scoring. This won't prevent corruption entirely, but will at least allow us to witness the corruption taking place as it happens.

Cotto was the one slipping punches and countering? I must have been watching a different fight then

ya i dont get the scores either it was so much closer then commentators and scorecards read. everyone keeps saying canelo punches were harder but no ****ing **** he was like 20 pounds heavier if u score by that criteria the fight was pointless to begin with
