wow, give credit where it's due, you haters are too obvious.
canelo had very clean pull counters against cotto.
if theres anything to criticize about canelo right now, it should be his footwork, not his counters.

There were 2 other things I saw that I was impressed with and showed his improvement.

The way he was able to stand in front of Cotto in the pocket, and with waist movement duck, slip, and evade punches.

Also, the one thing I was a little cincerned about was him gassing in the middle rounds and they were fighting at a pretty quick pace. His stamina seems to be improving because he seemed fresher than I have ever seen. I've seen some fights where he visibly gasses for about 3 rnds, and I dint see that Sat night

not imagine if Canelo was healthy at his full 154 against Mayweather, pssh Mayweather a dead man walking. Clearly Canelo is the superior boxer over Mayweather.

Because of weight. He took an extra 5 weeks of preparation and the weight came off in a healthy way.

Thats a good point and honestly I was a little concerned his training camp was a little too long. 14 weeks, is a long camp, but it seemed to work well

I think it's obvious that he and his trainers picked up a little something after being in there with Floyd.

Canelo's defense in particular was really strong on Saturday. He blocks very well and makes small, subtle movements with his head and body to make punches miss. The kid is learning and getting better which is a pleasure to watch.

He's definitely a student of the sweet science.
