Yes, great display of boxing by Miguel, his straight right was doing some good damage and I dont know why he stopped using it, and his left hook did not seem to be landing with authority. I felt like he was just working the mitts.

Now, Canelo is on his prime, had a 20lb advantage and we know Cotto is passed his prime, with 20 years of boxing and some hard wars with some serious scar tissue damage...and the younger lion with this "extraordinary" power could not stop or seriously hurt #WarCotto.

Also, the HBO team was a disgrace to boxing journalism, wow!!

Cong**** to Canelo, he did win the fight but honestly, the cards were a joke.
HBO was ridiculous with the bias and yes, Canelo got an older softer smaller opponent in Cotto.

I had the fight MUCH closer than those golden boy fans/judges.

Cotto was on that bicycle and backing up most of the fight so it was tough for Canelo to get off meaninful combinations. You saw it in the late rounds Cotto knew he was down and tried to engage and paid the price and was clearly hurt.
Give Cotto credit, he did what he had to do to stay alive until the end of the fight so he and his fans could cry about it.

Bdock, he was over 160 but looked little in there with Canelo. I have NO problem with a Canelo win just the damn scorecards.

Canelo is hard not to like.

Cotto better hit Jr. MW though and retire there.

Yeah Canelo was bigger but thats obvious. He's naturally bigger. What I don't like about the haters using weight excuses is that they act like Cotto didn't hydrate lol like he was fighting at his walk around weight. What I also don't like is when people use excuses, they say the other fighter won because he was fighting a "LHW" but don't consider the fact Cotto himself was a super middle weight.

I could see a 5-7 pound weight advantage but I've seen ******s saying 10, 15 even 20 pound advantage! shet is ridiculous

Boxing fans are becoming completely pathetic. And so are these fighters and trainers. Every ****ing fight is unfair. Every fight is a robbery. Use common sense. Cotto"s pitter pat combos were useless. You cant win a fight like that. Effective aggression. I dont count pitter pat combos that cause no damage as effective. He never hurt Carrot Top nor did I believe he could. He only has power in that left hook because hes left handed fighting conventional. He has little power in his right hand. So how the hell was he going to hurt Canelo? Drop the weight excuses. The guy lost. Canelo landed the more meaninful shots, caused more damage, and was the better fighter. **** Cotto always claims he got robbed. Trout beat him but he cried foul, Mayweather beat him he cried foul, now Canelo beat him and he says he won 80% of the fight. Maybe Margarito messed his brain up with them loaded gloves lol. His trainer is just as delusional. They always get robbed right?

True. His combos seem soft like he was on the mitts with Freddy. My opinion on that is that he developed that muscle memory of taking power off when hitting Freddy on the mitts/body padding and carried into the fight??

Who knows about that. Even my girl was saying that he is not hitting hard.

I bet he wishes Canelo would have also finished Floyd off early too.

He tried and even with 15lbs on Cotto, he could not.

When a bum like Margarito can cause Cotto to take an 8 count, or a tiny Asian man like Pacquaio can put Cotto down...maybe Canelo's shots sound louder than they feel.

But when he stopped Rodriguez, Martinez, Geale the muscle memory hasnt set in yet right? Thats why cotto was able to get those knockouts right? it couldent have been because it was a bum, handicap, drained right? It was all cause he was still punching a full force but all of a sudden muscle memory set in and he no longer was punching as hard as he could anymore and thats why he couldn't hurt canelo who is neither a bum, handicap or drained right?

                    gotcha! makes sense.
