Anybody who thinks WBC will strip Alvarez is an idiot. If Canelo decides to stay at 155, the WBC will allow him to fight as many voluntary defenses as he wants before he meets Golovkin at a mandated weight of 155. How do I know this? They did it for Alvarez at 154. They did it for JCC at 160 and they are doing it for Deontay Wilder at heavyweight.
