    Excellent thread.

Nice to know there are still a few people out there with eyes and a brain.

The man can't be beaten on the scorecards even if he loses the fight, not now that Floyd has retired

Canelo has an amazing run of fighters on his resume, but the fact 3 of his biggest fights were either way fights, it makes Canelo lose a lot of shine
And it's costing him respect as well.

Well if you had Canelo-Trout a draw than Canelo wins because of the knock down.

canelo does have a ton of experience, but he doesn't have the international amateur background that exposes guys to lots of different styles that employ movement. that's where you learn to fight movers.

he was fighting professionally in the second half of his teens and getting experience, but it wasn't against guys who move well. he was exposed to the styles you see in mexico.
True, but at this point he's faced Mayweather and Lara in two professional fights, can't get any better experience against movers than that.

hes boys with some of the guys in the cartel. maybe the judges are scared they will end up with their head being left on their mom's door step with a testicle in each eye socket

              That's certainly true.

But it shouldn't give him outrageous cards regardless!

It couldn't be clearer that money influences things positively for Alvarez.

Trout got dropped in the first 15 seconds or so only to get up & dominate the round, it should've been a 10-10.

                    Dominate the round? Seriously?

There's the round right there...what does he do that is even remotely dominant? Like, at all?

He gets cracked with another 4-5 big shots and throws a lot of keep off punches with nothing on them. It is a clear 10-8 round.

                    • Those cards are too wide but this isn't only with Canelo. Close fights have and will continue to have outrageously wide cards under the current 10-9 system.
