    If GGG is mandatory

Does that have any implications on catch-weights? or can they still negotiate a weight?

You would think a Mandatory title defence should be fought at the correct weight. Then again, i'm sure they're happy to bend the rules for certain fighters or what makes them some money.

These are negations people. Which haven't really started yet.

K2 is going to try get GGG every advantage, as they should, that's their job.

Golden Boy is going to try get Canelo every advantage, as they should, that's their job.

If one of them walks away and pulls out of the fight, give them all the sheet in the world. But lets not over react to every detail.

They are free to negotiate weight, its a private deal between them both

However, if Canelo turns down the fight because GGG wants it at 160, then the title will be vacated. Golovkin has the upper hand there, assuming GGG is happy with a 30% split of the purse (PPV excluded). Golovkin has the right to challenge for the WBC title with standard championship rules at a set split of the purse.

If Canelo wants to keep the title, and fight at a catchweight, he may need to offer GGG more money for him to agree.

the guy who weighs 175 on fight night can't fight the guy who weighs 169 on fight night because the 169 guy is too big so he needs a catch weight to make it more fair

Agreed. That's laughable. Guy who weights more on fight night and walk around heavier says he is too small and ask Catchweights.

He is 160 pounds champion after all and GGG is his mandatory. Don't care about money slpit even it's 90%/10% for Canelo. It's 160 pounds!

Alvarez won't fight him even at 155. Canelo will be more drained than GGG.
