Yep, he's been doing this **** for a long time too.

He has a lot of weaknesses in his game. But I got to give the guy respect for continuing to chase the biggest fights no matter who it is, especially knowing his stamina is suspect.

I've often said he's very top heavy, IMO that's a big part of why his legs tire and his stamina is garbage, and explains why he often just stands still and doesn't do ****.

The Mexican media is complicated. So I would not take this seriously

        1) just because it's Mexican it does not mean it is not biased. Often, Mexican media (for a variety of reasons) it's brutal to Mexicans. There is this constant critique of Mexican achievements, downgrade. ESPN deportes is particularly bad at it. I The Mexican national team could go on to the world cup semi finals and they would still get **** on for being lucky, or for being conceited.

        2) tv azteca and televise, the two giant monopolies, have a war. Canelo was made by televisa, and although I think that Canelo is now on TV azteca, Tv azteca has this strange fascination with appearing "objective" to a fault. They essentially got the Mexican soccer coach fired.

So, take it with a massive grain of salt. You can't win it. It's not objective, it's strange. It is not as nationalist as people seem to think.

Mexican media, you mean 1 out of 10+ media outlets and 2 Canelo haters have the fight scored for Cotto?

          Very representative.

Canelo won this fight 8:4, 9:3 or maybe 7:5, no way Cotto won more than 4-5 rounds.

The only guy the Diva beat in the last couple years were crippled, drained or shot fighters.

Canelo gets hit = he doesn't budge
Cotto gets hit = he is budged and runs away from the action

Judges need to score ring generalship you know that and its only fair, Cotto didn't do himself any favour he didn't look like he was in control of anything off the backfoot.
Its called boxing not street fighting idiot. Thats why your behind a computer trolling 24/7 and their in the actual ring fighting.
Cotto stuck the jab all night in his face and was landing some nice straight rights. Cotto's defense isn't even talked about as he blocked and dodge a lot of Canelo's punches. I scored it 7-5 Canela too.

Do you realize that the whole mexican media watched the fight on TVAZTECA??
expect to have most of them influenced by Azteca commentators and scorecard... specifically the ones that write about every sport and not just boxing...

This is what it basically comes down to.

Canelo had youth/size, but had they been closer in size the youth wouldn't have been enough. Cotto fought extremely well and did follow the gameplan, it just couldn't work as well as they'd hoped because Canelo was so much bigger and couldn't be moved.

Not taking anything away from Canelo, but Cotto really brought this on himself by insisting on fighting in weight classes he's too small for.
