If Wilder is fighting Glazkov it can possibly happen, if HBO is willing to pay for that fight. HBO is changing leaders so there could be changes, but that sort of thing you need to see to really believe.

Agreed! People tend to forget the business aspect of it. Its good she is dragging him through a mouse hunt. He cant think hes has a monopoly or things will get worse for the sport.

Haymon is giving smaller promoters a chance. Warriors boxing, Dibella Ent, GYM, Mayweather Promtions, New Legends Boxing, Leija Battah Promotion, TBG Promotions, and others. Arum called the "sham promoters" but look at their resumes and they've been promoting for a while. I guess smaller promoters who can't get on HBO are considered shams. Meanwhile you see the same 4 promoters on HBO and none of these smaller promoters can get a chance. Haymon has them on national TV promoting fights.

What's so hard to believe? Kovalev is having his second fight with Pascal in January, which has raised his profile amongst Montreal boxing fans. Next Saturday Issac Chillemba can beat Alvarez for the WBC mandatory position, and presents a high risk/low reward for the aging Stevenson.

GYM understands now is the time to risk Stevenson against Kovalev. If you truly believe Main Events doesn't want this fight for Kovalev, then there's no help for you.

Im with you on this one. Stevenson will soon become expendable and will be cashed out.

Haymon's job is to do what's best for his client, not what's best for his clients Promoter. Signing an exclusive deal with HBO was what's best for Main Event, not Kovalev. I blame Klimas for this fight never taking place. Haymon should not let his fighter take less money than what he can make in order to fulfill another fighters exclusive TV deal. If HBO and ME come with that real money we'll see the fight. The fight should've been made earlier this year with the purse bid which was before Kovalev signed an exclusive deal with HBO. HBO had right of first refusal for his next fight, which was the mandatory against Mohammedi, then he was free to fight Stevenson anywhere. So don't blame Haymon for doing his job if he terms aint right.

What's best for the fighters is to face ****e opposition and make a lot of money which is bad for the fans and for the sport. This is why so many boxers are protected by promoters and managers alike. The TV channels want what's best for entertainment value.
