Definitely had Canelo winning that, Cotto just couldn't impose himself on him and it looked like Canelo shrugged off any of the work that Cotto did.

Just watched it whilst virtually every round was competitive I had a very hard time giving Cotto rounds.
It was competitive throughout but on a round by round basis it was not particularly close. I do think two judges was a bit unkind but I've seen a lot worse scorecards. 117-111 seemed about right to me, no closer than 116-112.
Good performance from from both men I feel Cotto didn't have a great gameplan.

Cotto seemed like he thought Alvarez couldn't handle movement. While it does cause Alvarez problems, Cotto isn't good enough defensively to avoid his counter punching.

Coming out of the fight I couldn't really tell you what Cotto could have done to clearly win that fight. Alvarez was the younger, sharper, bigger fighter.
